Non-denominational group ministers to devastated communitie

Members of the Freedom Come Ministries International were out in their numbers last Saturday as they visited sections of Clarendon, St Elizabeth and Manchester to minister to hundreds of residents whose lives and livelihoods were disrupted by the passage of Hurricane Beryl on July 3. The non-denominational group, headquartered at the Tarrant Baptist Church at 51 Molynes Road in Kingston, had secured toiletries, laundry items and food from supporters of the ministry. They distributed these during their mission trip to some of the communities that were hardest hit by Beryl and prayed for residents who were badly affected. Several of these residents made a public commitment to serve Christ. The team will continue missionary work in the communities as they seek to win souls for Christ and help to meet the physical needs of those who are still trying to recover from the devastating hurricane.
