Dear Editor,
From November 19, 2017, our Almighty Father GOD gave the Righteous Command that the whole nation of Jamaica should come before Him in three days of Repentance, Fasting, and Prayer (Joel 1:14 and 2:16-18), because we have turned away from worshipping Him to worshipping all manner of idols.
This notification was made known by God’s Friend Apostle Jeffrey Shuttleworth in a mass gathering in Halfway Tree Square in Kingston. Even the present Prime Minister Andrew Holness was in attendance, as well as other stakeholders of our nation.
When I myself heard the call, I was over-joyed because I had been observing for a while that Jamaica was on a collision course and needed to detour.
Yet, in spite of frequent reminders over the years from the Man of God and from others in the Remnant Army, God’s command still hasn’t been adhered to.
As a matter of fact, it has been a total of two thousand seven hundred and fifty-eight days (2,758) up to June 7, 2025, wherein this all-island Repentance, Fasting, and Prayer has been ignored and side-stepped by the reigning powers that be! Still, they expect a favorable outcome of prosperity and stability for their Vision 2030.
Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the Lord your God, and cry unto the Lord (Joel 1:14)
Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.
Let the priests, the ministers of the Lord, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O Lord, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?
Then will the Lord be jealous for his land, and pity his people. (Joel 2:16-18)
