Wise Up, Rise Up, Speak Up, Speak Out!

The Lord has made it clear: we must not fear the one who can destroy the body, but we should fear the one who can destroy both body and soul. So, this is not a time to be fearful.

As we step into 5786, we will see an increase in persecution of the saints, but there is also the positive. In the same way Jesus was crucified, and that was not the end of the story — on the third day, He rose triumphantly as was prophesied — every word of prophecy that has been codified in Holy Scripture will come to pass. Those things that have not yet manifested will come to pass, because evil will not win. Truth will triumph over falsehood or lies.

God has already triumphed over Satan. There’s really no battle or war, so to speak, because God has already won. Those whose eyes are not open would not understand. Satan thinks he’s fighting God, but how can he? What he does is to fight against those who stand for God in Christ; in other words, righteousness. In the midst of the pain, in the midst of the sorrow, heartbreak, anger and all, I’m encouraging those who are truth-seekers, led by Christ: do not be discouraged, do not be dissuaded, God continues to be God. He will protect all of us.

We should wise up, rise up, speak up, speak out. Don’t wait until one from among us is taken down, then you go forward. No. When you stand in your numbers, large numbers with those who are leading the charge, it makes it difficult for the enemy to strike. That’s exactly what happened in Acts of the Apostles, chapter 12. James was killed because the church remained in the background. They were silent; they stopped praying. So it took the slaying of James and, later on, the arrest of Peter, because they were planning to also execute him, to rouse the church to action.

Here in Jamaica, the peaceful, purposeful, persistent prayer protest is critical because what it is doing is to seed the atmosphere with prayers and with the Word. It gives us the opportunity to build righteous altars and to destroy unrighteous altars to counter lies and falsehood. By virtue of our presence in various areas, the principalities and powers also are impacted. The angels of the Lord are there in greater numbers because they have more work to do. When the people of God do not go out as the Great Commission requires us to do, and we don’t pray, the angels do not have much work to do. The extent to which we pray will determine how active angels are around us.
