Reviving Piracy and Ancient Altars

We are wresting with all sorts of principalities and powers. If you look at our history of piracy, it was during the era, headed by Henry Morgan and some other pirates, that Jamaica became home to the most wicked and wealthiest city in the world, Port Royal. Homosexuality and all other things were happening in Port Royal,  and this permeated the rest of the society. No wonder  there was that massive earthquake on June 7, 1692. Years later, 1907, again we had this massive earthquake which decimated large parts of Kingston.

In 1692, it was not only in Port Royal, two-thirds of it went under water yes, but many other parts of the island were affected and seriously destroyed. Many many years later, we are now  seeking to reconnect with these age-old spirits, these ancient altars and spirits, saying we are celebrating Pirates Week.

What is happening is that the proverbial ants nest is being stirred up and you are now connecting with ancient altars,  by raising up piracy. Piracy has been affecting us since then, that is why we have scamming and skimming. Jamaica is known for scamming and skimming and that is why we have extortion. Where do you think it came from? It is all coming from the altars; the age-old spirits, that would have influenced the pirates and the Buccaneers. These spirits never die. When you begin to glorify them, you are emboldening them and encouraging them to play a critical role in our status quo, influencing the morals and the ethos of the people.

Why would a nation, such as Jamaica, want to go back to the days of piracy and Buchaneerism? We say we are celebrating it, but when you celebrate, you are reconnecting with ancient altars and ancient spirits and you are welcoming or inviting them back. That’s really what it is, it is about worship. It is a retrograde step by the so-called powers that be that celebrated that week. We declare and decree that it will not happen in this nation called Jamaica again.  These kinds of traditions and practices will not help to move the nation ahead. It will not advance the nation.

The Prime Minister speaks about a new mandate, peace, productivity and prosperity, but will this happen by promoting Piracy Week? Will this happen because of extra-judicial killings and promoting the NIDS and the NIC or cashlessness? The only way that Jamaica will experience peace, lasting peace, productivity and prosperity, is in and through God in Christ. We have to do things God’s way.

The Lord has called the nation of Jamaica, and He has been calling since 2017 and the calls have intensified, for three consecutive days of national mourning, fasting and repentance. The Lord is going to intensify His judgement and He is going to bring the nation of Jamaica to her knees. The political leaders also will suffer serious consequences, religious leaders as well as other leaders in other sectors and our children will continue to suffer.  The sad reality is that the eyes of the masses are closed, so they don’t have a clue as to what is happening. They don’t realise that the judgement is intensifying and that is the most disconcerting part of it. They are going about business as usual, not realising that we are are being drawn closer and closer to the abyss. If Jamaica is going to experience peace, productivity and prosperity, God in Christ must be at the centre; things must be done according to God’s way.
