About Sherwin Gardner
Born and raised in Trinidad & Tobago, Sherwin Gardner comes from a rich lineage of faith and ministry. His mother, Rev. Merle Gardner, is a pastor; his uncle, Kennedy Patterson, is a celebrated gospel artist; and his grandfather, Ivan Patterson, was a revered bishop in the New Testament Church. Sherwin’s musical journey began at just five years old, singing in churches, and by 17, he released his debut album, Power in the Name, marking the start of an extraordinary career.
Sherwin’s influence extends far beyond the Caribbean. He has collaborated with gospel legends such as CeCe Winans, Israel Houghton, Jonathan Nelson, Papa San, Todd Delaney, Deitrick Haddon, and DJ Nicholas, taking his music across the United States, Africa, Europe, and beyond. Most recently, Sherwin had the honour of performing at the Dove Awards Welcome Luncheon alongside CeCe Winans and other prominent artists.
