Dear editor,
There is an ideology, which predisposes some persons to be against certain people, who have descended from Shem, one of the sons of Noah. Abraham is a descendant of Shem. Abraham’s grandson, Jacob, also known as Israel, became the ancestor of a great nation, called “the children of Israel”, or “Israelites”, or “Hebrews”, or “Jews”.
One of the ways in which “the children of Israel”, or “Israelites”, or “Hebrews”, or “Jews”, is being attacked, is by denying them any right to be living in the land that lies between the Mediterranean , Sea and the Jordan River, with the Sea of Galilee to the north, and the Dead Sea to the south. The slogan: “From the river to the sea, Palestine shall be free”, means that the Arab nations, which are Islamic by religion, believe that the land between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea belongs to the Palestinians, and not to the Jews, and that the Jews do not belong there, and therefore ought to be removed from there by all means possible.
Based on the Holy Scriptures, God gave that land to the Jews by an “everlasting covenant”, and so they have the right, entitlement and authority from the Almighty God Himself, to live in that land. When Israel and Judah were taken away from their land, on account of their sins against God, this did not mean that God’s Covenant with them to give them their land was abolished. When the land was vacant, and enemy nations were trying to claim it as their own, God punished them, and foretold that Israel and Judah will return and live in their ancient homeland again.
The whole house of Israel, which are scattered all over the world, are going to return to their ancient homeland. They are going to be cleansed from their sins. They will live again in their ancient homeland, under the rule of their King, and He will protect them from further attacks from their enemies, so that they will dwell safely.
Therefore I say to the antisemites, stop accusing the sons and daughters of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, of “occupying” Palestinian land, for the land was given by God to Israel for ever. It was not given to any other nation.
I am,
Joseph Buckland
