It is difficult, if not entirely impossible, to take a shower, put on clean clothes, wallow in a muddy and grimy pig pen, and not get dirty.
Nevertheless, we live in a world where mortal men attempt this impracticable feat daily. Jamaica is a peculiar case of this hare-brained adventure. It is rife with criminality, deception, covert reprobate enterprises, apostasy, and dangerously high levels of corruption, but the majority of the population presents itself with rock-solid reputations, without a hint of compromise.
Unfortunately, even the church in this blessed country reflects the surreptitious environment in which it exists.
Last week, many Christians went into various stages of shock when news broke that the administration of the Jamaica Theological Seminary, a training institution for future church leaders, invited its students to attend a symposium where unrepentant advocates of the LGBTQI community were to promote the abominable lifestyle.
Students at that institution received an email from the school officials warmly inviting them to the LGBT+ Faith and Sexuality Symposium under the theme “Faith and Sexuality in the Jamaican Context – How Might the Two Walk Together?”
The event announced itself as a barefaced confrontation with Biblical truth and the invitation extended to the students was like an ambush of the church’s future.
That Satan could be so brazen and barefaced to cordially invite the young pastors to walk in the counsel of the ungodly, stand in the way of sinners, and sit in the seat of the scornful, through an email dispatched from the appointed guardians of the seminary, signals his desperation to ram the LBGTQI agenda down the hallowed hall of church learning.
The enemy is determined to capture the Bride of Christ and to redirect her path, defile her form, blemish her complexion, and diminish her stature by force. If student pastors and leaders were to adopt tolerance of homosexuality in Jamaica, then efforts to overturn the Buggery law and legalise same-sex marriage would become breeze-easy.
Satan has been trying for centuries to get the church to partner with him, compromise on this contemptible issue, wipe out and dismiss divine order, and essentially blur the lines established by the Word of the True and Living God.
Over recent years, quite a number of churches globally have fallen for this ploy. Less than two years ago, the General Synod, the Church of England’s legislative body, voted for vicars to be allowed to give gay couples, including those in civil marriages and partnerships, prayers of blessing.
The Episcopalian Church, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the Presbyterian Church in America, the Quakers, the United Church of Christ, and a slew of others have for some time been blessing this sin. There are also others that have gone even further to ordain it and give it full recognition at the pulpit.
Any organisation that claims to be Christian and blesses sin is off on a Satanic frolick, which can only lead to death and destruction. Unfortunately, millions of Believers across the globe are under the shepherdship and tutelage of these bodies and are exposed to spiritual governance, which has now declared outright rebellion against God.
The church cannot bless sin and give the impression that it is doing so under the instruction of God. This is a wicked and awful lie against the Holy Heavens, concocted and honed in the pit of hell, by the father of lies himself.
God will not bless what He calls sin. He is not the author of confusion. In fact, the Scripture instructs Believers not to be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. There is no fellowship between righteousness and unrighteousness, and light has no communion with darkness.
The LGBTQI is fully aligned with Satan’s mission to steal, kill, and destroy. If abortion and miscarriage pluck vulnerable babies from the ultimate safety of wombs, homosexuality and transgenderism prevent even the very thought of conception. Generations have stared at this savage and wicked reality with their eyes wide shut.
Many of those promoting this egregious sin grew up in the church, attended Sunday and Sabbath schools, but choose not to glorify or honour God. Many of them are well-learned and hold prominent positions in government, private sector, and even the church, but they have become vain in their imaginations and their foolish hearts are darkened.
So, God has given them up to the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies. Men have been marrying other men, and women have been turning to other women, and they have been demanding that those who oppose this abomination shut up and sup it up.
Even countries have embraced and normalised the reprobate behaviour and have put laws in place to legitimise, protect, and encourage it. Many governments and powerful organisations stand in agreement with the Satanic agenda, using their money and might to squash opposition, belittle the Church, and trivialise righteousness.
Countries that legalise LGBTQI lifestyle, abortion on demand, and facilitate the worship of other gods will face serious consequences, including diminishing populations and influence. Not only is it a fact that same-sex relationships cannot be fruitful or multiply, but you cannot block the path to conception and still have babies.
The LGBTQI mission continues to steal the very possibility of life from countless numbers of ‘yet-to-be-conceived’ human beings, whom God said He knew. It is mass murder in the spiritual realm, where real life happens.
Let it be clear, the LGBTQI+ agenda has been rolled out and effected through mass media, gang initiation, pedophilia parties, and various forms of socialisation mechanisms over time.
The assignment to get the church to comply is centuries-old, global, and well-financed. Christians are constantly persecuted and ridiculed in the traditional and social media space for every stance taken against this reprobate lifestyle. But still, we must stand.
Any church organisation that gives its stamp of approval to sin is dead, fit to be buried, if it remains unrepentant. Such an organisation cannot introduce anyone to Christ as it has no part in Him.
Only through repentance, turning away from wickedness, praying and seeking God’s face, can healing be effected and any level of godliness be restored.
The leadership of the Jamaica Theological Seminary has much work to do. They should start by repenting, then recommitting to the institution’s statement of faith, withdrawing from the symposium and publicly apologise.
