Be Loose!

Dear Saints, I trust that this time of fasting is producing results. Our focus today is Luke 13:12 ‘…. Woman, thou art loosed…’

Luke 13:10 gives an account of a lady who was sick for 18 years. Let’s look at some takeaways:

1. Sometimes, we are bothered by an issue for a long time but our situation may change in a day or an hour. God is not limited by time.

2. The woman’s posture was impacted; she was bent over. Stress has a way of changing our posture and personality. Sometimes our smile and cheerfulness are gone … but God!

3. She was at the right place at the right time. This was at the synagogue when Jesus was teaching. Miracles can happen anywhere but we are commanded not to forget the assembling of ourselves together.

4. Jesus called her forward. Believers, God knows our name. If we listen carefully, we will hear Him calling our name.

5. Jesus laid hands and immediately: Miracles are still happening; our duty is to believe!

6. You are loose: The woman had a spirit of infirmity. Brethren, today we are loose from sickness, poverty, loneliness, anxiety, family problems. We are loose in Jesus’ name!

7. The lady started praising God freely after she was healed. We should be willing to share our testimony. God has been good!

8. Not everyone was happy at the sister’s healing. A quarrel started because the lady was healed on the Sabbath day. Some persons are not happy at our success (jealously creeps in), but this will not delay God’s great move on our lives.  Expect great blessings: our unsaved relatives will be saved, positive changes will come in our health and wealth, promotion for our children, and overall favour on our lives.

Be loose in Jesus’ name!
