Challenge your faith

Job 23:10, “But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

What do we do when our faith is tested? Do we blame God or run the other way? Or do we begin spiritual rehabilitation and look beyond the immediate challenge for strength and help? I suggest that the first thing to do when our faith is challenged is to turn to the ‘pages’ of God’s Word and allow Him to work on us.

Listen, we’re bound to encounter unexpected challenges that strike us with the fear of the unknown, but it’s in times like these that we’ll have to choose whether or not to follow where God leads us, even when we don’t understand what’s happening. There is no problem that we face that exceeds God’s ability to solve.  Faith is truly enough to overcome even the toughest of challenges.

When we live by the Spirit, we get to plug into God’s unlimited strength by asking the Holy Spirit to guide and empower us. Personally, I believe God is more concerned about our growth than our comfort. Most of us love it when our challenges are few, but I’ve found that I usually experience much more growth through times of challenge and testing than in times of ease.

In James 1:2-4, God tells us that we are to consider it a joy when we go through times of testing and difficulties, as these times offer us the opportunity to experience the greatest amount of growth. Challenge your faith and keep trusting God.

LET US PRAY

Almighty God, grant us the endurance and resilience to face challenges with faith and confidence. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit, so that we may rise above difficulties and find peace in Your promises. I trust that Your strength will sustain us and that Your love will carry us through. May our faith be challenged today to learn to trust You more. AMEN.
