Dayelight’s Sterling Success

August 2023 publisher Crystal Daye realised a long-term dream, and that was to have her own talk show, as she wanted a platform where Christians can get practical and Spirit-led answers to questions they may have in their daily lives.

Aired on MTM TV weekly, the show, which is now in its third season, received an award at the recently held Sterling Gospel Award for Virtual Gospel Series.

Daye, in an interview with Freedom Come Rain, said she had already felt like a winner when the show was nominated in the category; walking away with the victory left her speechless.

“All the finalists in the category do amazing work of spreading the gospel on their platform, so I believe any one of us could win. When my name was called, I was shocked and honoured. I had a little speech in my head, but when I took the stage, I was speechless.”

The DayeLight Show was nominated for The Sterling Gospel Music 2024 category of virtual gospel series. The winner was announced on October 5th.

Daye, who hosts the show, is an international speaker, bestselling author, and CEO of DayeLight Publishers. She said she was inspired to do the show because there were just too many “taboo” topics and unscriptural advice around, and she wanted to provide a platform that inspired Believers while trying to answer their questions.

“The mission of The DayeLight Show, she noted, is to shine light on everyday topics using Biblical principles. Among the topics already covered on the show are, should Christians enter representational politics? What should we know about sex? Should Christians listen to secular music? How should the church handle mental health? Should Christians do vision boards? Should Christians celebrate Christmas? How do you talk to your teens about sex? How do you live a blessed life? Should Christians be rich?

Guest who have graced her platform include Dr. Carla Dunbar, Pastor Junior Tucker, Rev. Basil Hanson, Waynette Stratchan, Pastor Peter Malcolm, Natassia and Jamar Wright, Maya Elious, and Jayson Downer.

Looking ahead, Daye said she plans on being obedient and walking in faith to fulfil her God-given purpose while reaching millions with her message.
