Dear Editor,
What a strange time we are living in? Like a woman in an advanced stage of pregnancy whose water just broke, here comes the pain. We see cases likened to serious birth pangs happening all around us daily. Troubles seemed to have put on track shoes and have been running helter-skelter all over. This is real distress of nations with perplexity, as Luke 21: 25 says. Name one nation without problems at this time!
The wise and discerning among us have to be scuffling to bring in the God-factor into nations in order to save the populace from being marked for destruction. Mandates to simply, ‘follow the Science’ are being pushed ridiculously. More people are dying suddenly and of unknown causes, leaving families with unanswered questions. God and the Bible are fast becoming cancelled, resulting in things falling apart very rapidly.
Nations after nations are either dealing with problems or are ripe for new sets of problems based on recent missteps. People are madly chasing something and coming up empty. Views are violently being contended, and horrific wars about gender and pronouns are breaking out all around us. Who would have thought we would see the day when humans want the right to say they are animals? Disputes and disagreements are escalating in all settings. Even among Christians there are debates on whether or not this is the tribulation period, and if there will indeed be a rapture or just the second coming of Christ. Pheew!
So where is God in all of this? Same place He has always been. Waiting with invitation in hand, pleading; “It would be so much better My way.” No seriously, we have to come to the end of ourselves and turn to face God. These perplexities cannot be handled with mankind’s solutions. All these distresses are jobs for the Holy Ghost; do not take them on yourself.
I am,
Georgia Campbell
