Fight for the Unborn Intensify

The nation’s watchmen are being called to prepare for warfare as Christians get ready to battle for the lives of the unborn who are being killed each day through abortions.

Christian advocacy group, the Love March Movement (LMM) is in preparation mode for its 40 Days For Life fast which will start from Wednesday, February 18 to April 2nd. During this period, Christians are being urged to gather at Ivy Green Crescent, next to the Texaco Gas Station off Half-Way-Tree Road, between the hours of 8am to 8pm everyday, to stand for life.

“This is not a season to be silent. This is not a time to be passive. This is a time for increased vigilance, intentional intercession, and public witness. The giant of death must fall in our land, and it will fall when the people of God refuse to stop crying out for justice. For 40 days, we stand. For 40 days, we pray. For 40 days, we speak life where death has tried to rule,” the group said.

This would be the third staging of the event. Founder of the LMM, Dr Daniel Thomas said they are excited to continue the fight for life.

“We will be out there sharing the love of Jesus, praying for the end of abortion, reaching out to women in crisis pregnancies,” he said.

Since the intervention started, the group has been able to dissuade 33 mothers from ending the lives of their unborn child. Through their mission project, Friends For Life, they have been providing support to these women.

Persons are encouraged to visit www.40daysforlife.com, set up a log in and sign up for the Kingston campaign.

“We are encouraging churches to come on board and if you want to serve in a leadership position, we have day captains,” said Dr Thomas who said they also welcome financial support.

“Approximately 36 unborn children are killed every day in this country. A large number of persons are actually traversing Ivy Green Crescent for the purpose of abortion, and so you will be a voice for life,” Dr Thomas said.
