GL365 Radio and WebTV celebrated their 7th anniversary in online radio broadcasting, on Friday, January 27.
The station, known for soul-searching gospel songs and highlighting emerging and established gospel artistes, hosted a virtual concert for loyal listeners.
Artistes such as Dawn Martin, Shalom, Sone G, Tracy Walker, and Disc Jockeys such as DJ Robert, DJ Kwame, and others performed. Also hopping on to shower down words of encouragement were well-known gospel personalities such as Dr. Delroy Lingo, radio host Brother Davon, and gospel artiste Kiokya Cruickshank from St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
President and CEO of the GL365, Dr. D. Roy Bramwell, expressing gratitude to God for the milestone, said seven reflects the number of perfection.
The number seven suggests completeness, and GL365 Media has been a lighthouse in the community of Katy, Texas, and globally, with over 80,000 listeners around the world.
Expounding on the motivation for its formation in the first place, Dr. Bramwell said he was always intrigued by the idea of having a forum where he could meet people at the point of their need. He sees the station as a ministry, as the music offers encouragement, there are other programmes that ensure the mandate is kept, and for him, the best part is getting feedback from listeners who share how their souls have been blessed.
Looking ahead, he said that for the next seven years, it is his desire to expand the station’s reach further in the Caribbean, UK, and Africa. Currently, they are reaching souls in 32 countries around the world and are always striving for new ways to encourage and share the good news of Jesus Christ.
Among those who celebrated with them on Friday were four international disc jockeys.
The event was hosted by Dr. D. Roy Bramwell, his wife, Broushel Anola, and radio personality Joanne Prince Bee.
