Jamaicans can expect more blackouts, civil unrests and a fallout with China and Russia as the country increasingly partners with the United States as it threatens Cuba in an intense geo-political standoff that has set the region on edge.
So says Prophetess June BlairCastillo, who echoed the sentiments of many Jamaicans that the country’s sovereignty is compromised. She said Jamaica’s recent efforts to facilitate US requests to punish Cuba has given birth to “Jamerika”.
“The Jamaican government has allowed Amerikkka to use them; pulling them into an all-out-war with their neighbour and putting the people of Jamaica in jeopardy, (with Cuba.) Just wondering if Jamaicans understand the monumental consequences Jamaica will now attract from Cuba and its allies?” she asked.
“Jamaica, Jamaica, it’s praying time like never before. Your days (months and years), of darkness have begun and you have only the one you bowed to, to blame. When you finally awaken from your slumber, you will find that you are now fully in the middle of a bankers’ war. This brings many unwanted ‘gifts’ and opens up the country to a new form of Colonialism,” said the prophetess who is currently undertaking missionary work outside of the island.
Many Jamaicans were skeptical of the reason given by the Jamaican government and the US Embassy for the docking of the nuclear powered aircraft carrier USS Nimitz in the Port of Kingston from June 1 to June 5. Political analysts, ambassadors and security experts said the aim was to intimidate Cuba, while government officials insisted it was part of the maritime cooperation through deployment Southern Seas 2026.
On the same day the ship left, Jamaica experienced an all-island blackout and a fire broke out at the barracks area of the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) Up Park Camp. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
It was initially reported that the all-island power outage was triggered by a significant lightning strike and all customers were said to have received power back by Saturday morning. However, following this announcement, several customers said they still were without electricity. Then on Monday, persons continued to report intermittent power outages. The Jamaica Public Service (JPS) said there was evidence of damage to equipment at its sub-station in Rockfort, East Kingston and there was a broken conductor on transmission lines connecting the Hunts Bay and Newport stations in St Andrew.
A preliminary report by the Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) into the islandwide blackout now blames a system failure. The report was submitted to Energy Minister Daryl Vaz on Tuesday.
“Preliminary findings are that it is system failure, which is the same thing that has happened every time that we have had an islandwide power cut from 2006 coming back now – which is very disappointing to me because it means that despite the fact that we are in 2026, the systems are not up to speed, and it should not be, with technology where it is today, that we should have a situation where one incident in Kingston cascades all throughout the entire island. It is totally unacceptable. And as they say in Jamaica, same old same old,” he said.
But several Jamaicans are convinced that the all-island power outage coupled with the mysterious razing of sections of the country’s military base on the same day when one of the US’s major warship was set to leave the island is too much of a coincidence.
Prophetess BlairCastillo reminded Jamaicans that everything that is done by the US is deliberate.
“The war, as of the last century, has grown to be different. So it’s not about taking guns and shooting and, you know, sending bombs and all that anymore. It still is, but on a greater scale, it is geological and bio-chemical warfare. That’s what they’re good at right now,” she said.
While the warship did not dock in Cuba, the country suffered a 6.1 magnitude earthquake on Monday, June 8.
Electromagnetic pulse (EMP) can be used by military officials to cause minor earthquakes and blackouts. In March this year, Cuba suffered a 5.8 magnitude earthquake. A national blackout took place right before the earthquake. US president Donald Trump boasted a day before that he could take Cuba at any time.
“The greater thing is when Russia and China rises up, and they will if America continues provoking Cuba, and in this great provocation, there’s going to be a lot that will come forth, and unfortunately, the Jamaican people will suffer from this,” Prophetess BlairCastillo noted.
She urged Jamaicans to repent, pray and seek God’s face.
