June judgement: Jamaica is on mid-year watch, pastor warns

Reverend Karel Dawes vividly remembers the terrifying vision she received on November 15 last year of a great shaking to impact Jamaica sometime this year.

“To date, I cannot get it out of my head, and in this vision the Lord spoke to me. He wrapped his face in a cloud, and He spoke to me in a terrifying voice, saying, ‘Tell them, take heed, in the month of June, your destruction shall ring.’ On the 20th of November, He told me that I am to lead out a march and to tell His remnant children to march out in the shape of a cross,” she told Freedom Come Rain newspaper.

After a lot of planning, this march took place last week on Friday, March 13. Reverend Dawes led a small team of Christians that positioned themselves at four strategic locations across the corporate area to form a cross before meeting up in Half-Way-Tree, where they continued to warn everyone who would listen that they must repent.

Reverend Dawes, who had another terrifying vision in January 2026, had to seek permission in writing from the three police divisions that covered the areas the march was to take place. Just as she thought everything was set for the march, she was informed she also needed to write the Commissioner’s Office.

Reverend Karel Dawes shows a banner to a lady from Serbia who wanted to assist in spreading the message.

“We are appealing to the leaders, we’re appealing to the Prime Minister, we’re appealing to the Governor-General, we’re appealing to the Leader of the Opposition, and we’re appealing to the authorities that have the power to bring the country to a halt and lead the nation into three days of national fasting, prayer, and repentance before the month of June because the Lord said in the month of June our destruction shall ring,” said Reverend Dawes, who is from the Holy Living Christian Ministries in Clarendon.

Reverend Dawes said the Lord hasn’t told her when exactly in June the shaking will happen, but He had told her to “watch the 13th of June”. She also noted that the Lord is upset with Jamaica for several reasons, with one of the major ones being the neglect of the poor.

“We have not been caring for the poor among us and several other things, to include corruption and the likes and murder and all these things and the sexual immorality and what has been happening to our children,” shared the pastor before adding, “God is extremely angry, and He’s angry too because we have been stiff-necked. We have been stiff-necked because He has been calling us to national repentance for a number of years, and even in recent years, so many other individuals God has spoken to, and yet still the powers that be have not responded to the call of the Lord.”

As the groups marched from the different locations to Half-Way-Tree, they paused at the different stoplights to pray and share the Word of God with pedestrians and motorists. Reverend Dawes, who travelled from Papine to Half-Way-Tree, said the reception varied, with several persons asking them to expound on the message. Motorists slowed down to read their banner and their t-shirts, which were emblazoned with the call for repentance as well. Men who were smoking quickly put out their spliffs, and at least one person sowed in the ministry on that leg of the journey. When they got to Half-Way-Tree, a lady from Serbia indicated her willingness to help them spread the message.

“The purpose of this was not just to warn Jamaica but to be obedient unto the Lord thy God, for God to be glorified, for Jamaica to know that serious times are ahead, a catastrophic earthquake is ahead, and we need to turn back to the Lord thy God. We need for the fear of the living God to return back to this land. Some people, they turned up their face at us. One lady read what we said, and she looked at us with scorn, but it never mattered,” said the team leader for the Constant Spring leg of the march.

Reverend Dawes said the Lord does not delight in the death of the wicked and is hoping that the nation will take heed of the call to go into three days of prayer, fasting and repentance.
