Let us pray

Let us hear the written Word of God as recorded in Psalm 66:1-20, Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands: Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious. Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee. All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah. Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men. He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him. He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.

This is the Word of the LORD. Thanks be to Almighty God.

HAITI PLUNDERED BUT WE PRAY

Father, we cry out on behalf of our neighbour Haiti.  When we look at the suffering that is taking place. The hundreds of people who died in 2022 and the number is constantly growing. Many who continue to be in harm’s way. Record number of children who have been killed; women who have been abused in different ways. When we look at the violence; the unprecedented levels of violence being visited upon various communities not only those surrounding Port-au-Prince but also in other parts of Haiti. We have seen, literally, where gangs have taken over and have held hostage many communities, but, Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray that Haiti will cry out to You.

And even as international bodies, including the United Nations, have been looking at different strategies, we know that beyond the shadow of a doubt that many of these international agencies, to a great extent, have been responsible for the quagmire that Haiti presently finds herself in because they have robbed Haiti of critical resources. They have marginalized Haiti, not to mention the French and so on over the years.

When we look at the history of the relationship between Haiti and France, for example, it is a crying shame. Not to mention some years ago, the situation that would have arisen…including the United States of America, etc.

But, Father, we thank You that You are not asleep, and even as the people of Haiti, the church in Haiti would turn and cry out to You, that, Father, You would rescue the perishing in Haiti, in Jesus’ name. Have mercy on behalf of the people of Haiti, even as they face, arguably, one of their most precarious periods in recent history.

Have mercy upon the people of Haiti, especially the poor, the fatherless and the widows, in Jesus’ name.  Rescue the people of Haiti. Cause, O God, that they will cry out to You and if they cry out to You continually, we know, O God, that You will go to their rescue, in Jesus’ name.

FOLLOW ONLY GOD, JAMAICA!

We pray also, O God, that Jamaica will not follow in the footsteps of Barbados (for example, re the repeal of the buggery law), Trinidad and Tobago, Antigua and Barbuda, and others, but that, Father, we will remain steadfast, and we will not veer to the left or to the right. But, Father, as a people and nation, we will set our faces like flint, and we, O God, will continue to be totally sold out to righteousness, knowing that righteousness will continue to exalt Jamaica, despite the many challenges we have, once we remain committed to the true and living God.

The truth be told, our God YHVH will come through for us so that we’ll see better days ahead.

THE UK IS IN DECAY

We continue to pray for the UK as they go through arguably one of their most challenging, yeah tumultuous seasons of strikes or unrest among public sector workers, including nurses and rail workers, etc. Father, we know that this would have to happen to the people of the UK because they have turned away from You in so many ways.

We pray, O God, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, that the people of the United Kingdom will recognize that the further and further they move away from God is the more sin, decay, decadence, darkness, distress, despair, and destruction shall be their portion, in Jesus’ name. And so, we pray, O God, that the people of God in the UK will cry out and that the leaders will bow; bow to the crucified and risen LORD and Saviour, Jesus Christ, so that God will extend grace and mercy and bring some level of calm and stability to that part of the world.

We lift up the situation in Europe as the winter intensifies and many persons are facing death. Many are facing freezing, food shortages, fuel shortages as the war intensifies. Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, we pray for mercy. Yes, we know Europe has turned her back on God over the many years and they are now reaping that which they have sown, but Father, we pray that as the people of God in Ukraine, in Russia, and elsewhere would cry out to You; once those cries are sincere, that Father, You would come to their rescue, although we know World War 3 must be fought for all of this to pave the way for Your second coming.

And even before You would come, to pave the way for the anti-Christ, the one-world order, one-world government, one-world religion etc.

We pray, O God, that You will prepare born-again Believers, globally, for the increase persecution which is up ahead. Even here in Jamaica, cause, O God, that we will pray like we have never prayed before and while we’ll continue to pray for this nation of Jamaica, that we’ll pray for the world, because we recognize that the gospel of the Kingdom of God must be preached as a witness to all nations before the end comes.
