Dear Editor, Two years ago, for the first time in a national census in the United Kingdom, fewer than half of the population of England and Wales—27.5 million people—described themselves as “Christian.” This was a sharp reduction of 5.5 million, fewer than were recorded in 2011 in the previous census. It triggered calls for urgent reform of laws requiring Christian teaching and worship in schools and for Church of England bishops to sit in the House of Lords. As the Christian church shrinks in number, the enemy is emboldened, and he has intensified his efforts to remove God from schools and public places in Britain.Currently, all state schools are legally required to provide an act of “collective worship” that is “broadly Christian” every day. Some teachers and education experts have now branded the legal requirement “archaic.” Many school administrators prefer to run less-religious assemblies that are more relevant to their diverse student bodies.Although the law on collective worship was passed in 1944, along with a requirement for all students to study religious education, things have since changed. Parents and sixth formers can now opt out of these worship sessions. Many education experts say it is time for the government to rethink all its policies on religion in schools. This sounds quite familiar to what has been happening in Jamaica and other countries, which are led by cash-rich Canada and other leading nations. The rejection of righteousness is not shocking in the end times. The Scriptures speak of this. As godliness is removed from the public sector, the vacuum is filled with unrighteousness. Nature leaves nothing empty. We see what is happening with the rise and advancement of the reprobate community and its agenda. We see a similar rise among the occult movements.I urge Christians across the world to open their eyes to what is happening and spend time in prayer so that God will save His people from clear and present danger as governments across the world capitulate to the wiles of Satan and his minions. I am,Doreen Goode
