Dear Editor,
It is a marvellous thing when we trust God’s Word and experience His mighty power in our lives. I believe we all have a purpose here to fulfil a certain mission.
But sadly, many allow the enemy to distract them and to lead them off on to the wrong path. Have you ever experienced being near to completing an important thing which you have started, such as being near to getting a degree, and suddenly the enemy and his children started to block your path to hinder your completion? However, because of your conviction that it is the will of God for you to complete this degree, you started to remind yourself of God’s promises, and God showed up in a powerful way and reminded you that, “I am the Lord your God; I strengthen you and say, ‘Do not be afraid; I will help you’” (Isaiah 41:13), and you are convinced that “God, who began this good work in you, will carry it on until it is finished on the Day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6)
I am a living witness of the fulfilment of these scriptures in my life. I want to encourage anyone out there that is trusting God and believing that God began a good work in them, and He will complete it, must press on. Even though you might be blocked often by the enemy, who is trying to prevent your completion, trust God, and you also, like me, will say: “I know that I will live to see the Lord’s goodness in this present life. Trust in the LORD, have faith, do not despair. Trust in the Lord.” (Psalm 27:14, Good News Bible). Those who do not trust God, need to wake up, because you are being the enemy of yourself: do not live your life in vain!
We all have a purpose here on earth, and all of us has one main purpose, as the wise man, Solomon, says: “After all this, there is only one thing to say, have reverence for God, and obey His commands, because this is all that human beings were created for. God is going to judge everything we do, whether good or bad, even things done in secret.” (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, Good News Bible)
To God be all the glory forever and ever and ever. Amen.
I am,
Sonia Fay Buckland (Mrs.)
