Non-cash tax office now opened in Cross Roads

Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) has launched its first non-cash location in the Cross Roads area.

The cashless office, located in the Regal Plaza, 15B Old Hope Road, Cross Roads, became operational on Friday, December 1, 2023, and will operate during the standard opening hours.

The new office is an expanded service feature of the existing Cross Roads Tax Office, located across from it.

Taxpayers are advised that the location will only offer non-cash services, which means that persons may only conduct their transactions using a credit card or debit card to make payments.

Not all services will be available at the location. Motor vehicle transactions will not be processed at the location. Collection of cash and the processing of all other services will continue at the main Cross Roads Tax Office.

Customers are also reminded that several services are available online via TAJ’s website at www.jamaicatax.gov.jm. These include the payment of property tax, motor vehicle certificate of fitness fee, and driver’s licence renewal fee payment, traffic ticket fines, business-related taxes and fees.

Additionally, persons may query their Property Tax liability; initiate an application for a Taxpayer Registration Number (TRN) or apply for Tax Compliance Certificate (TCC).

The Tax Authority continues to re-engineer its business processes and service features, to strengthen its focus on digital technologies in keeping with its mandate to add greater value to its service offerings for greater convenience and efficiency.
