Let us pray:
Almighty God, we worship and adore You. We lift You up. We magnify Your most holy name. We thank You, LORD, for this signal day. We embrace the call: “Be strong in the LORD and in the power of His might.” And there we would benefit from exousia, dunamis, and kratos. We would not only benefit from exousia, dunamis, and kratos, but also ischus, so that not only will we be strong to do great exploits externally, but also internally.
WE HAVE DEFILED OUR CHILDREN
We confess and admit that we have defiled Jamaica. We have defiled the very atmosphere. We have defiled the very land. We have defiled the very people.
We have defiled our children. When we think of the many children who have been aborted…when we think of the wanton sex that is taking place, illicit sex that is taking place all over the place…Jamaica has become highly sexualised by all the various activities that have been cultivated, promoted, promulgated all over the nation, so that children are involved, youth are involved, young adults are involved, adults are involved, seniors are involved, and in too many instances these activities are not consistent with Your precepts and statues. The end result is defilement.
There is lying and stealing. There is greed or rapaciousness. There is envy, jealousy, and evil concupiscence. There are dissimulations. There is unforgiveness. There is jealousy. There is adultery, fornication, lasciviousness, uncleanness, nudity, idolatry, witchcraft, variance, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies.
There is murder, drunkenness, revelries, among a host of other vices all over this island of Jamaica. It is being promoted north, south, east, and west.
NOTHING FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH
And those who are in positions of leadership want to see more and more because they claim that these works of the flesh bring money—nuff, nuff money…nuff, nuff dollars to Jamaica, and therefore, the more they are manifestly evident in Jamaica is the more money Jamaica will make. Nothing could be further from the truth because the Bible, the Word of God, is clear in many parts of Scripture, Holy Scripture.
For example, in Leviticus 18: 6-25, the Bible is clear:
None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to uncover their nakedness: I am the LORD. The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shall thou not uncover. She is thy mother. Thou shalt not uncover her nakedness. The nakedness of thy Father’s wife shalt thou not uncover. It is thy father’s nakedness. The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover. The nakedness of thy son’s daughter, or of thy daughter’s daughter, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs is thine own nakedness.
The nakedness of thy father’s wife’s daughter, begotten of thy father, she is thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness. Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s sister: she is thy father’s near kinswoman. Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother’s sister: for she is thy mother’s near kinswoman. Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s brother, thou shalt not approach to his wife: she is thine aunt. Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter in law: she is thy son’s wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother’s wife: it is thy brother’s nakedness. Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her son’s daughter, or her daughter’s daughter, to uncover her nakedness; for they are her near kinswomen: it is wickedness. Neither shalt thou take a wife to her sister, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her life time. Also thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness.
Moreover thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbour’s wife, to defile thyself with her. And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD. Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion. Defile not ye Yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before You: And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.
