Jamaicans across the world are lending their support to the peaceful, purposeful, persistent, prayer protest which is now in over 30 locations across all 14 parishes of Jamaica.
Christians in the US and Canada have joined with those in Jamaica who are standing up for righteousness at various locations, including Montego Bay, Mandeville, and Emancipation Park to pray and protest varying social issues.
Christians have also been gathering in Mountain View, Harbour View, Stony Hill, Temple Hall, Mount Charles, Boulevard, Windward Road, Duhaney Park, Richmond Park, and Halfway Tree in St. Andrew; Spanish Town Road in Kingston; Spanish Town, Portmore, and Linstead in St. Catherine; May Pen, Lionel Town, Rocky Point, Longville Park, and Portland Cottage in Clarendon; Buff Bay in Portland; Savanna-la-mar in Westmoreland; Three Hill in St. Mary; Black River in St. Elizabeth; Ocho Rios in St.Ann; Duncans in Trelawny; Mandeville in Manchester; and St.Thomas.
The groups have been denouncing troubling issues surrounding governance, constitutional reform, NIDS, crime and violence, family breakdown, the attacks on the nation’s children, the state of the education and health systems among other pressing national issues.
The prayer protest continues between 6:30 am to 12 noon at the varying locations.
