Pearl Brooks – Knowledge is power in deliverance

Today, Pearl Brooks is grateful for the knowledge that has enabled her to enjoy the miracles God has performed in her life.

She acknowledged during a recent testimony service that for many years of her life, she experienced oppression with a sick foot.

She described it as “feeling as though something was crawling on her skin.” Although she received a lot of prayer and help along the way, Pearl said there was still something hindering her from receiving her deliverance, and that for her was due to a lack of knowledge.

“I experienced this for almost 10 years, and within three nights I was delivered,” she shared.

It all happened when she came upon a sermon by Apostle Joshua Selman, who was teaching on complete deliverance .

“I listened to the teaching, of course, listened diligently, and he was revealing to me the weapons of warfare, which are the blood of Jesus, the name of Jesus, and the Word of God. And when I came into this knowledge, then I understood exactly what was happening in my life,” she revealed, adding that she realised the enemy was manipulating her mind, so that she would not have the necessary tools to resist what he was saying to her.

She started sacrificing sleep as she sought the Lord in prayer and worshipped God as she found her secret place to build her relationship with the Holy Spirit.

“I just want to give God thanks because the enemy attacked this foot with the iron boot, and now God delivered me out of it,” she rejoiced.

“I usually come to Emancipation Park [Peaceful, Purposeful, Prayer Protest] – but due to the foot, I couldn’t get to come, so when I went to my doctor, my doctor said, ‘Pearl, I don’t like how the foot looks; you have to go to Spanish Town (hospital).”

When she went to the hospital in Spanish Town, she said the doctor took one look at her foot and told her he had to admit her. He also told her that he would have to do surgery on her foot – amputation.

Pearl’s faith lifted, and she was having none of that as she quickly disputed it, telling the doctor emphatically that “the devil is a liar!”

Stressing that God gave her two feet with ten toes, she said he would not be taking off her foot. With that she left and went straight home.

Celebrating her victory, she stood on both legs comfortably at the recent all night Solemn Assembly at the UWI Mona Campus, celebrating God’s deliverance. The ministry moment was a partnership between Tarrant Baptist Church/Freedom Come Ministries International  and the University Christian Council Fellowship (UCCF) of the UWI, Mona. Several UCCFs from other universities also participated.
