The Christian church and the government of Jamaica are on a head-on collision course, despite consistent claims by Jamaica House that the church plays a vital role in shaping Jamaica’s moral, spiritual, and social fabric.
The fact that the government doled out $125 million to assist churches that were damaged in October last year by Hurricane Melissa is of no consequence, when this October the same government is moving to establish a law that will threaten the very viability of churches.
Under the New Non-Profit Organisations Act that is expected to pass into law next month, churches will be placed under the direct control of government. This new law is explicitly aligned with the international anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing standards established by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
The FATF, which came into being in 1989 during the G7 summit in Paris, is an intergovernmental organisation that sets global standards and rules to stop money laundering, terrorist financing, and other threats to the international financial system.
Jamaica’s effort to comply with FATF Recommendation 8 has led to the review of laws and regulations governing non-profit organisations and to dragging the church under their purview.
Prime Minister Andrew Holness has always described the church as a key institution for guiding the nation’s values, noting that development without values and growth without integrity are fragile. Even so, his government has been complicit in ensuring that Jamaica stays the path of unrighteousness, celebrating evil as good, honouring the dishonourable and refusing to do what is right before God and man.
Over the past decades. Jamaica has abandoned its rich and blessed heritage that was established by our foreparents, whose blood, sweat and tears watered the deadly fights for freedom. They built their families on the Word of God and overcame the most inhumane and brutish circumstances, leaning on His everlasting arms.
Today, the nation has rejected the righteous path that was set before us, labelling it as archaic, too irrationally narrow, too illogical in its demand for faith, absolutely useless and even laughable in its heavenly pursuits.
At this juncture, the Jamaican government’s interests are riveted in attracting grants and earning favour and accolades from its international partners. Many of those in leadership are not afraid to trample on the rights and freedoms of the people while increasing the wealth of the rich, the famous and the corrupt.
Laws are being amended to incorporate the beastly ideals of international agencies who are emissaries of Satan. As partners, many of these agencies offer financial help while demanding compliance with their beast agenda.
While claiming to build resilient food systems for the future, the United Nations, a beast agency, is determined to lead all nations, including Jamaica, into the firm grip of Satan through its well-promoted 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. The European Union, which presents itself as a friend who sticks closer than a brother, is promoting policies that go against Jamaica’s Christian mores and our very Constitution. This body is backing several of the LGBTQI groups on the island and is also seeking to push more of the nation’s children into danger in the digital space.
Speaking from the lofty podium at its 10th International Food Security and Sovereignty Conference last week, the United Nations glibly announced that approximately 55% of the Jamaican population currently faces food insecurity, with 28% experiencing severe conditions where they go hungry or spend entire days without eating at all.
Jamaicans know that when people are blessed, they do not go hungry. They are well aware that the sorry state of our agriculture sector and sky-high food costs are indicative of how far we have strayed from righteousness.
They know that a blessed nation does not borrow billions for basics, nor does it struggle for survival under a crippling debt burden. That designation belongs to the cursed.
Regardless of what is announced from political platforms, by their lived experiences, Jamaicans know that the country is trapped in a spiral of wretchedness, perpetual bloodshed, recurrent corruption, and debilitating levels of barbarism.
Despite the fact that we are a country with a prayer as our national anthem and our national pledge – a declaration to obedience to God – we are a defiled nation where the greedy and corrupt are elevated in the high places.
The emissaries of Satan, and the various international agencies and governments they partner with, have never been accepting of the fact that the church is the free and powerful representative of God on earth.
Billions of dollars have been handed to Jamaican governments in loans and grants to force the island to compromise on righteousness. Great efforts have been made to decriminalise buggery, legalise abortion on demand and accept same-sex unions, but the church has stood as a bastion, strong in its righteous resistance against these Satanic ploys.
The beast continues to showcase academic research pointing to the Christian church as a massive structural inhibition to LGBTQI programming, legal reform, and social advocacy in Jamaica. These studies have found that the immense cultural authority of the church remains a unilateral gridlock to the repeal of the buggery law and the advance of immoral ideologies.
If the emissaries of Satan in government ushers him into the highest office at Jamaica House and escorts him to the highest seat in Gordon House, Jamaica will only have hell to face. Not prosperity.
Those in leadership are failing to understand that no amount of money, favour or accolade from Satanic agencies can make Jamaica bow to the beast. The church will remain standing.
