Almighty God, we worship and adore You. We lift You up. We magnify Your most holy name. We thank You, LORD, for this signal day. We embrace the call: “Be strong in the LORD and in the power of His might.” And there we would benefit from exousia, dunamis, and kratos. We would not only benefit from exousia, dunamis, and kratos, but also ischus, so that not only will we be strong to do great exploits externally, but also internally.
STOP DUTTY UP JAMAICA
Lord God, as we stand on the watchtower, we notice that Jamaica has been defiled. We are seeing signs saying, ‘Nuh Dutty up Jamaica,’ but the emphasis is on persons throwing physical solid waste and other forms of waste in areas where they are not supposed to dispose of them.
But You, O God, having opened our eyes and our ears, You are saying to us that Jamaica has not got it right because it is not only the patty bags, it is not only the ‘scandal’ bags (which now have been made illegal), the paper bags…it is not only the old mattresses, the bottles and such delights, the effluent coming from factories and from homes that dutty up Jamaica; but it is the lying and the stealing that dutty up Jamaica. It is the prostitution that dutty up Jamaica.
It is the corruption by politicians and others that dutty up Jamaica. It is the greed and capriciousness of leaders, including politicians, that dutty up Jamaica; the greed which would have led politicians to have taken over 200% increase in salary while the masses continue to wallow in lack, wallow in hunger, wallow in crumbs, in filth, hardly able to make ends meet; children walking around with tattered clothes, increase in the number of homeless people, increase in the number of mentally unstable, mentally unstable persons; we call them mad women, mad men.
We are seeing an increase in mental health cases all over the island of Jamaica. It is as a result of the corruption, the greed, the rapaciousness and capriciousness of leaders that would have resulted in Jamaica having defilement, duttying up Jamaica. It is as a result of unjust laws that Jamaica is defiled.
NOT GARBAGE ALONE
We also think of the continued promotion of controversial substances, controversial substances, controversial medical substances being dispensed in our schools. Those substances with questionable ingredients that do not promote good health; even though the narrative is that they promote good health when the research shows that nothing could be further from the truth.
Those are the things that ‘dutty up’ Jamaica.
The lude crude lyrics that continue to come from the songs—those are the things that ‘dutty up’ Jamaica. The murals that are placed on various walls depicting the gender agenda and also narratives about the ‘Spirit of Jamaica’ that have to do with a particular beverage or alcohol—those are the things that ‘dutty up’ Jamaica.
Our children being carnally abused—that ‘dutty up’ Jamaica. Incest ‘dutty up’ Jamaica. The preponderance of nightclubs all over Jamaica ‘dutty up’ Jamaica. The presence of more and more bars all over Jamaica ‘dutty up’ Jamaica. The many flags representing revivalists and obeah workers—those ‘dutty up’ Jamaica.
CLEAN UP JAMAICA, O GOD
We pray, O God, in the name of Jesus, the Christ, the Son of the Living God that as they talk about cleaning up Jamaica, that greater attention will be given to such activities as were mentioned so that Jamaica can be cleaned up and become a place that is pristine, a place that is righteous, a place that is holy, because the moment Jamaica becomes righteous, we will not have to be finding money to be putting up bounty for information on perpetrators of evil, but rather, such monies will be invested in righteous families…invested in the children’s education…invested in the salaries of our teachers, our junior doctors, our nurses, our police officers, the rank and file.
And so we pray, O God, for a total overall of the modus operandi of Jamaica, the psyche of those in leadership, the psyche of the citizenry of Jamaica.
We pray, O God, that as the prayers continue, the revival will gather momentum. LORD, Your efficacious blood will be poured out to wash, to flood this island of Jamaica. It is time for Jamaica to be flooded by Your efficacious blood, to flood streets and lanes, to flood homes, to flood business places, to flood the seven pillars.
Cause, O God, the flooding of Jamaica with the blood of Jesus to cleanse every form of defilement. Jamaica is so defiled. It’s one of the most defiled nations in the western hemisphere; one of the most defiled nations, and we are heading to the point where we could become the most defiled, almost like a Sodom and Gomorrah.
But Lord, we pray in the name of Jesus, the Christ, the Son of the Living God that as the remnant arises in prayer and continues to pray the process through, that You, O God, will overrule, override, cancel, and abort every plot, every work of darkness, in the name of Jesus, the Christ, the Son of the Living God.
