Let us pray
We thank You that born-again believers in Christ are being stirred and provoked to action. There has been too much sleep in Zion and too much lethargy and apathy across this island of Jamaica. But even now, Lord, we thank You for a Holy Ghost stirring in the hearts of Your people.
Stir our children. Stir our young people. Stir our men and women, our mothers and fathers, our husbands and wives. Let there be a stirring such as we have never experienced before—not only within the Church, but throughout every sector and segment of this nation.
Let there be a Holy Ghost stirring in government, in education, in the economy, in our culture, and throughout the realm of the Spirit. Stir the media—print, electronic and digital—across Jamaica and the nations.
Lord God, we thank You that those whose shoulders had begun to droop are being strengthened again. Those who felt it was time to stop praying and those who became disconsolate or disinterested are receiving a new inspiration. A fresh fire is being activated across this nation and beyond.
Your people are being awakened to pray in the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God.
We thank You, Lord, that the temperature of prayer is rising across Jamaica. It is rising in our homes, in our churches, in our communities, and in the various districts across this nation. Those who had stopped praying are being stirred again, and their spirit man is being quickened by the Holy Ghost.
Lord God, we thank You for this activation. Men are being activated to pray. Women are being activated to pray. Children are being activated to pray. Boys and girls, young men and young women are being stirred to call upon the name of the Lord.
We thank You that a prayer cloud is arising over Jamaica, and beneath that prayer cloud, the fire of God is burning. The temperature of prayer is increasing right now!
We thank You, Almighty God, that spontaneous prayer is now rising from Your people. Persons who had not planned to pray are suddenly finding themselves compelled by the Holy Ghost to call upon You.
Some are on the streets right now, and You are arresting their attention and turning their hearts toward prayer. Some are at work, and You are stirring them to pray. Some are preparing to go out, and You are calling them to pray. Some are lying in their beds, and even there, Lord, You are awakening them to intercession.
We thank You that those who have been weak, weary and spiritually inactive are being strengthened and activated. The levels of prayer are increasing. More and more people are praying.
