Let us pray.
Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, we bow before You today as we look into the heavens and ask the question: from whence cometh our help? Our help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth. Behold He that keepeth Israel, even Jamaica; behold He that keepeth Kingston and St. Andrew, St Thomas, Portland, St. Mary; behold He that keepeth St. Ann, Trelawny, St. James, Hanover, Westmoreland, St. Elizabeth; behold He that keepeth Manchester, Clarendon, St. Catherine, yea Portmore; behold He that keepeth the family, the church, the government, the education system, the economy, our culture, the media (print, electronic and digital media); behold He that keepth the over two point odd million people scattered across this nation; behold He that keepeth the over seven point odd billion people, globally; shall neither slumber nor sleep.
“The Lord is thy keeper. The Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee. The Lord shall preserve thy soul. He shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in. Oh, the Lord shall preserve your going out, my going out; your coming in, my coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore. For when the enemy shall come upon thee like a flood, the spirit of God will raise a standard against him. For it is not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, against rulers of darkness against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
HUSH…THERE’S NO PROBLEM TOO BIG FOR GOD
Oh, Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, as we come to You today in prayer; oh, we pray, oh God, that Your Holy Spirit will cause a hush, a hush to come over this nation of Jamaica and everywhere else where this prayer is being heard.
We pray that every born-again Believer in Christ, whatever they are doing at this time, they would stop and would come together as we join our hearts, our hands, our minds in prayer, petitioning heaven. Even now, offering supplications and knowing that the God to whom we pray, the God of all gods is the prayer-hearing and answering God; knowing that there’s no problem too big that our God cannot solve. And so, as intercessors, as born-again Believers in Christ would come together in this hallowed hour of prayer across this nation, across Kingston and St. Andrew, across St. Thomas, Portland and St. Mary; oh as born-again Believers in Christ, Christians at large would come together in prayer even in this hour across St. Ann, Trelawny, St. James; across Hanover, Westmoreland, St Elizabeth; as we join hands and hearts in prayer across Manchester, Clarendon, St. Catherine, yea Portmore; we thank You for that holy hush. Oh, that holy hush which is pervading this nation of Jamaica.
HAVE MERCY FATHER
We have been a wretched people. We have been unfaithful; oh, we have been thirsty for the blood of the innocent. When we listen to the various arguments being proffered from different quarters – we are thirsty and hungry even for the blood of the unborn. Oh, what wretched people we have become. We are hungry for unrighteousness, hungry for immorality, hungry for lying and stealing, hungry for money. We’re hungry for the works of darkness, hungry for other gods other than the true and living God. We want to chart our own course. We have taken matters into our own hands as a people and as a nation; and so, Father, as intercessors, as born-again Believers in Christ would bow even in this hour, would bow even in this moment in prayer, as we look to You as Daniel looked to You, as he turned his face to Jerusalem, we say, “Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, have mercy on us. Have mercy on us. Have mercy on us.” We confess and repent of our sins. We have been a wretched people. We have been taking You for granted.
MEN MUST KNOW THAT YOU ARE GOD
We pray that You will visit the denominations this morning, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, that as we come together, that Father You will visit leaders, start with the pastors in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. We pray, oh God, that You will examine every single one of us and we have been crying out for a visitation to take place in the churches in the various denominations.
Men must know that You are God. Men must know, women must know that You cannot be taken for a poppy show. Men and women must know that You must be served in spirit and in truth. Your Word tells us according to the book of Psalms “who shall ascend into the Hill of the Lord? Who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul unto vanity nor sworn deceitfully”. Hallelujah! Yes! Yes! Yes! He shall receive the blessings of the Lord and righteousness from the God of his Salvation.
RIGHTEOUSNESS WILL PREVAIL
We pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth that righteousness will prevail in our homes, the family, righteousness will prevail in the church, righteousness will prevail in government, righteousness will prevail in the education system. We decree and declare that righteousness will prevail in the economy. Righteousness will prevail in our culture. Righteousness will prevail in the media, print electronic and digital media so that Jamaica under God, will increase in beauty, fellowship and prosperity and play her part in advancing the welfare of the whole human race. In the mighty, munificent, magnanimous, marvelous, miraculous name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. So let it be, so shall it be and so it is. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah.
