Let us pray:
Almighty God, we worship and adore You. We lift You up. We magnify Your most holy name. We thank You, LORD, for this signal day. We embrace the call: “Be strong in the LORD and in the power of His might.” And there we would benefit from exousia, dunamis, and kratos. We would not only benefit from exousia, dunamis, and kratos, but also ischus, so that not only will we be strong to do great exploits externally, but also internally.
Father, as we look at what is taking place in Jamaica, including the murdering of our children, the murdering of our babies, the murdering of the unborn, the murdering of our women, the murdering of our men, we know beyond the shadow of a doubt it is as a result of defilement.
Sexual abuse, in the form of carnal abuse, incest, rape is as a result of defilement, even as they cause further defilement, and so Jamaica is defiled all over. Jamaica is riddled with defilement of various sorts. In every nook, in every cranny, Jamaica is defiled. The people, most of the people across this island of Jamaica are defiled.
And sadly, our leaders…most of our leaders in all seven pillars are defiled…and they, as they continue to perform their duties on a daily basis, they end up defiling others, defiling others by virtue of what they say, in terms of their speech they defile persons. They defile others by just going into their space, stepping into their offices, stepping into their communities. They defile the very land as they move around. They defile buildings. They defile the plants, the animals…and where a nation is defiled, God is not near such a nation. God is not manifestly active in such a nation.
And so, LORD, as we continue to cry out, LORD, we bow before You in this hallowed hour of prayer, and we say, LORD God, forgive us, forgive us of our foolish ways, forgive us of our rebelliousness, forgive us of rebellion. Forgive us, LORD, of witchcraft. Forgive us, LORD, of obeah. Forgive us, LORD, of necromancy. Forgive us, LORD, of revelry, even the various carnival activities, and it seems as if the people do not want to end it because even after the so-called end, there are so many after-parties, and given the opportunity, every week they would want to have such carnival-like activities all across the island.
But we thank You, LORD, that You have already led us to make a righteous decree that by or before 2027, this nasty, vulgar, lude, crude, immoral act and activities shall no longer take place in our island of Jamaica, for over 90% of the population will reject and renounce it, in Jesus’ name.
We pray, O God, that parents who inveigle their children to be a part of such dirty activities, they would repent, or else they already are facing Your judgement. We pray, O God, in Your judgement, remember mercy. We thank You, LORD, that You have also seen leaders and where they have been promoting this nasty activity, that they will repent. Where they fail to repent, we pray that Your judgment will also fall upon them because a clear statement must be made by You, O God, so that this nation knows that Jamaica is not like the other nations. Jamaica is held to a higher standard. Jamaica is a diadem in Your hand, and to Him who much is given, much is required. The Father disciplines the child He loves, and because You love Jamaica, You have been disciplining Jamaica, and You will continue if Jamaica does not cry out to You in repentance.
We pray, O God, that the leaders will become fully seized by the urgency of the moment and will agree to three consecutive days of national mourning, fasting, prayer and repentance, in Jesus’ name.
