It is the year of the Word and that’s why it’s a time to preach the Word more than ever. The time is coming when we will not necessarily be able to do many of the things that we are now doing with the kind of freedom that we have. The time is coming when most persons will not be able to travel from one country to another because of many things that will be happening Geo-politically and otherwise.
The European Union is now in search of a leader. They are in search of a consensus leader; someone who the block of Nations will honour, and will also help to push things forward.
The Middle East continues to be erratic. You have heard of the ultimatum given not just to Iran but to Egypt by the president of the United States of America. They are being asked to take a couple thousand Palestinians because there is this grand plan to resettle the Palestinians so that the Gaza Strip can be reformed and redeveloped. There are a number of nations that are not in agreement with this move. The Palestinians will have to be relocated and so Egypt was identified as one of the places to take a number of them. Of course, they’re trying to identify some other areas as well. The ultimatum came in the form of a veil threat, because Egypt has been benefiting from billions of US dollars of aid over the years, since they had ceased the war between themselves and Israel. The United States of America has been consistent with that Covenant that they signed many years ago and continue to send huge amounts of aid in different forms. The threat is that if they do not agree, then that aid would be pulled, among other things. Egypt needs that support from the US if they’re going to survive in any meaningful way.
The economy of China has gotten a bounce as a result of the trade war. There are a number of nations that are boycotting US made goods and they are actually supporting the Chinese made goods, and that has given the Chinese economy a bounce. Their economy had slowed down over the past couple of months; but certainly in the latter part of last year into this year, they got a bounce as a result of the trade war that is taking place.
We had a total lunar eclipse. Prophetically, lunar speaks to the children of Israel. Lunar also speaks to the church. The blood moon is speaking to persecution and the rise not just in persecution, but also the change in season for the church. Expect to see more attacks against Israel and Israel attacking more in this season. Don’t expect the attacks in the Middle East against Israel to die down.
The partial solar eclipse prophetically speaks to Nations and also points to the Son of God in terms of the impact of the Son of God.
As the people of God, we have to understand the times. It cannot be business as usual. We need to pray.
