Protecting Our Children From the Enemy’s Agenda

Dear Editor,

Our children are under attack. We are losing them physically and even more dangerously, spiritually. Today’s world normalises confusion, rebellion, and moral decay, all while discouraging discipline and dismissing biblical values. As a result, our children are left spiritually exposed.

Scripture teaches that parents are the first line of defence for their children’s souls. Yet many homes have drifted into casual prayer, inconsistent boundaries, and passive spiritual guidance. Church attendance is no longer prioritised, and the media has quietly taken our place as teacher, mentor, and moral influencer. These open doors create spiritual vulnerability, and many children face battles they were never trained to recognise.

It is time for us to return to the foundations that once anchored our families:

• Teaching our children to pray

• Helping them memorise Scripture.

• Re-establishing family worship and devotion

• Modelling Christlike character through our daily lifestyle

Children do not just need to be told what is right. They need to see it lived. They learn reverence when we demonstrate it. They learn prayer when they hear us praying. They learn obedience to God when they witness it in our choices.

I am calling parents to rise up as watchmen over their homes. Draw the boundary line again. Declare with authority that the enemy cannot have your children. We are in a spiritual battle, and we must operate as such, ensuring that every member of God’s army, including our children, is prepared, protected, and spiritually equipped.

Our children deserve parents who will fight for them. Their souls are worth the discipline, the vigilance, and the intentionality. May we rise to the call.

I am,

Lacey-Ann Campbell-Brown
