Pyrrhic Victory! Message sent to politicians

In a nail-biting finish, the prophetic word from God came through for Jamaica election night.

The two major parties battled neck and neck for victory, until  the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) eventually edged ahead.

The JLP won with 34  seats and the People’s National Party (PNP) copped 29 seats.

While no candidate from the two new parties or any of the independent entrants won seats, a number of new faces will enter Gordon House. Among them are the PNP’s Steve McGregor, Nekeshia Burchell, Isat Buchanan,  Omar Newell, Zuelieka Jess, Wavel Hinds, Dennis Gordon, Dr. Alfred Dawes, and Heatha Miller-Bennet.

The election results have sent a  warning to the new government that the Jamaican people will not be taken for granted and that the business of Parliament must be treated with seriousness, checks and balances.
