UCCF “Taking back the high places”
On Friday, March 21, the Freedom Come Ministries International and members of the Universities and Colleges Christian Fellowship (UCCF) converged on the campus of the University of the West Indies, Mona, for a Solemn Assembly (“Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the Lord your God, and cry unto the Lord.” Joel 1:14)
From 6 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. the following day, through prayer, praise, and the spoken Word, the scores of people who turned up remained focused on the purpose, which was to “take back the high places” in Jamaica.
This week, we bring you feedback from three of the presidents who represented their university’s Christian fellowship and Daniel Dodd, president of Kingdom Ambassadors Global, who was specially invited to pray for revival in Jamaica.

The gathering at The University of the West Indies’ Assembly Hall on Friday, March 21, was more than an event – it was a transformative movement. As I entered the room, I saw a sea of passionate worshippers, unapologetically pouring out their hearts to God. The diversity of the congregation was a beautiful reflection of God’s Kingdom, with students from various universities, churches, and backgrounds united in their pursuit of God. The presence of the Lord was palpable, and the atmosphere was electric. But what struck me most was the sense of authenticity and vulnerability that permeated the atmosphere. It was clear that everyone had come with a genuine desire to encounter God and be transformed by His presence.
Another highlight was witnessing my fellow UCCFers and students from UWI, UCC, UTECH, MICO, and Shortwood boldly leading worship and prayer and engaging in other forms of ministry. It was humbling to see God using our young people to tear down strongholds, break chains and intercede for our generation.
The time together was a testament to the power of unified prayer and worship, and I left feeling refreshed and renewed, in awe of how God showed up and showed off in a powerful way.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Tarrant Baptist Church, headed by Apostle Jeffrey Shuttleworth, for supporting this partnership with the Universities and Colleges Christian Fellowship (UCCF) and embracing the vision. We are also grateful for the invaluable support of Evangelist Carol Williams, who not only served as our liaison but also covered us in prayer.
May the Lord’s abundant blessings rest upon our students from across the various campuses, ministry leaders, and the entire Freedom Come Ministries family.
We are indeed anticipating part two!

I believe God is stirring up a revival in our schools. He is calling our generation into a season of divine pruning, where everything we have picked up over time in the university space that does not align with His purpose is being cut off. This pruning is not just for our benefit but so that we can help others survive as well. As Jesus said in John 15:1-2, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit He prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.”
By right, we were not bearing any fruit, but God, in His mercy, has said, “Let it alone for another year, until I dig around it and fertilize it.” Luke 13:8
He desires for us to bear spiritual fruit, but that can only happen when we are truthful before Him.
Dark forces have been ruling and dwelling comfortably in our spaces, but the Solemn Assembly was meant to shake them, making them nervous, and causing them to flee. It is time for the remnant to rise up and take back their space for God!
Attending the Solemn Assembly was a truly uplifting and memorable experience. The atmosphere was filled with a deep sense of reverence, unity, and spiritual reflection. Being surrounded by others who shared the same devotion made the moment even more special.
The prayers, messages, and worship created an environment of peace and inspiration, allowing me to feel a strong connection to the Lord. It was a time of renewal, gratitude, and personal growth. I left feeling spiritually refreshed, encouraged, and grateful for the opportunity to be part of such an awesome gathering.
