As Christians, we know that we should start our day with God. If we have been a Believer for any length of time, we have likely been encouraged by a pastor, teacher, mentor, or friend to spend time every morning in God’s presence and talk with Hm. God truly wants all of us to spend quality time with Him every morning. Instead of spending time doing other things, He longs for our day to begin with the absolute best thing and that best thing is being in His presence. If encountering God’s presence is the best part of our day, then we already know the impact it will have on us which will flow throughout the day.
When we encounter God at the crack of a new day, His presence will make us crave to spend time with Him even during our breaks and lunch hour. His companionship will ignite us with passion, love, purpose, and a sense of belonging that nothing else can give.
Take time to open your heart to God every morning and allow Him to satisfy your eternal need for communication with the Father. Allow Him every morning to fill you with His presence so that you might experience the reality of His love. May our time spent today encountering God in guided prayer be filled with the fullness of joy.
Lord, thank you for this day. I ask that you would guide our path today and, more specifically, our thoughts, words, and actions. Please be with us throughout the day and help us navigate whatever comes our way. Most importantly, help us to reflect and live out our life in a way that is honouring to You. Help us to start our day with You so that Your holy presence can remain with us throughout the day. In Jesus’ name we pray. AMEN.
