Kreative Kreations by Stacy is a special entity that is co-owned by the husband and wife team, Duane and Stacy Campbell.
The business was borne out of a need and love for supporting persons in expressing their love and appreciation to others through gift giving.
In sharing about their company, Stacy said she was never formally trained in techniques, such as gift basket making, but she sought to tap into her natural giftings and love for being creative, and most importantly, allowed the Holy Spirit to guide her in creating each unique gift for the recipient, whether she knew them personally or not.
“My husband and myself are the principals of Kreative Kreations by Stacy. Our flagship product is customised gift baskets and boxes; we also do event planning and decor; home and office decor; musical and sound equipment rental; and most recently, embroidery print for t-shirts,” she shared on their company offerings.
Stacy said that for a while, the Holy Spirit was prompting her to start her business, but fear of the unknown saw her telling herself that she needed more time to build before walking away from a steady income to immerse herself in the business. She later discovered that God’s timing is different from ours.
“We had launched out after a prophetic moment with Apostle Jeffrey Shuttleworth, and the business was further dedicated unto the Lord through the Freedom Come Ministries. In the midst of COVID (2021), I left the company I’ve been with for over 14 years and registered the business, and here we are today,” she pointed out.
Three years later, the Campbells are comfortable running their business and “being ordered by the Lord.” According to Stacy, whenever they get an order or event request with the preliminary information, she and her husband pray and ask for directions.
“I’ve had several experiences buying or about to buy an item, and the Holy Spirit will literally tell me, “wrong thing,” or I’ll drive around until I find the right item. The testimonies that follow are amazing; people will say that it is the exact item they wanted or how much the gift ministered to them. We are at a point now that we see this as a ministry first, then a business second,” she informed the Freedom Come Rain.
Stacy said faith plays a major role both in interacting with clients and carrying out her business. According to her, everything that they have done over the last few weeks has been through faith. She recounted that she received in one of her daily devotions that the Lord will supply her daily manna, and she has been praying with gratitude every day since for just that.
Sometimes she is not sure of what’s coming next, but then she gets a sudden call for an order.
“I will always remind myself that my clients do have options, and I’m so thankful that they chose us. So I’ll ensure that our interactions reflect that we are truly grateful for the continued support. I want to ensure that their experience with us is unforgettable, and they are pleased and will always think of us first each time,” she informed.
Praises to God are paramount for the couple. Stacy advised that this is an effective weapon, and in valley times, they just keep praising through the wait, effectively shutting the door to complaining, a principle she said she is learning all too well.
In terms of running the business as a husband-and-wife team, Stacy laughed as she confessed that there are times when they don’t quite agree on some decisions, especially regarding the purchasing of big ticket items.
“I am the cautious one in the relationship. Duane is more of a risk-taker and looks at the long term always. How we normally resolve this “discrepancy” is, he always shows the benefits of doing something now rather than later. Just as with our marriage, we learn to listen and compromise. We respect each other and trust each other enough to make certain decisions, and that’s our mantra,” she stressed.
Keeping the boundaries of ‘spouse’ and ‘business partner’ is the same principle for the couple—they work as a team. Duane deals with the operational side of the business; he is the one that usually thinks more strategically than Stacy, who focuses on the creative and people side of the business. By doing this, they are able to capitalise on each other’s strengths.
When it comes to family time, Stacy said they try to find time as much as they can, although she admits that it is still a work in progress.
“In our down time with our girls, we play a lot at home. They both love to dance, so Duane will always want to do competition, and that will be it for the evening as we are all on the ground rolling with his dance moves. We try to ensure that special days such as birthdays, anniversaries, etc. are indeed special for each other, no matter how simple,” she noted.
Looking ahead Stacy shared the vision they have for the business, and it is for it to be the premier gifting and decor kingdom company. She is convinced they will be an “enabler” for other small businesses that provide services, raw materials, etc. that they can use.
Through being in contact with these businesses and making them key suppliers, she believes they will also be helping with their bottom line as well.
“We want to be able to provide not only kingdom businesses with options that are different from the typical cookie cutter gifts, but also gifts and services that will minister to all who we come in contact with. I see us having several subsidiaries to the business, providing employment to many, and having an environment that replicates the Holy Spirit in every way,” she stated.
For those who look to be Kingdompreneurs or are already practicing, Stacy’s advice to them is to spend time in God’s presence together. Stressing that God wants to raise up many more kingdom businesses, she pointed out that it will not be in our own strength.
“If He provides the idea, rely on Him for every other area of the business plan. He told us to step into the Jordan as He did with the priest who carried the Arc after Joshua took over, and in faith we have done just that,” she said, adding that she will never forget the words spoken to her by a minister when she was seeking God for the next level of the business. The words were simple: “You’ll never grow in someone else’s backyard.”
Duane and Stacy, who have had 17 years of growing together in love and helping to build each other, are parents to two girls, ages 14 and 2. They attend The Apostolic Church of Jamaica, Peniel Tabernacle.
