The Pastor’s Voice:  Are You Rapture-Ready?

By Steve Lyston

Very few Christians and even less sinners have any real knowledge of the rapture. Most churches don’t preach about it. In fact, there are quite a few who preach against it. Some have taken it out of their doctrinal beliefs.

After having done a teaching on the Rapture myself, I released it on one of the social media platforms, but I later discovered that it was removed the next day. Everywhere it was put, it was removed under the premise that it breached community standards or violated a rule. There are so many lies, heresies, and false teachings out there that the world and even some members of the Christian community do not recognise the truth so easily anymore. Furthermore, both mainstream and social media are more interested in defiling the public. They have a problem hearing (or reading) about sins, judgement, and apocalyptic revelations, and so they call them names like climate change, conspiracy theories, and fanaticism. This is why it is critical for Christians to own media houses, publications, and radio stations, as there is going to be a fight in the end times to preach and teach the Word of Truth. Since when did God’s Word of Truth become an offence?

Every Christian must have their eyes on Matthew 24: 35 which says, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.”

Solid In The Word

Many end-time events have come to pass already, and it continues rapidly… …  The enemy has been using various strategies, including distractions through media and other meaningless activities. We as Christians, must ensure that the Word of God is solid within each person. For example, 2 Peter 3: 10 says, “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.”

We should look for His promise, regardless of the scoffers. The Lord’s return will be sudden and unexpected. Peter gives the assurance of a new, inhabitable earth.

Most investors are focused on what is in the earth. Those who have a lot of wealth and pursue the things of the earth would be offended by this word. As far as they are concerned, it would be coming against their business deals and threaten their return on investment. They want everything to be good, even when they are doing bad. They want to make great profits at all times, without any regard for what the word reminds us in Revelation 21: 1, “Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.”

  1. The heavens will pass away with a great noise.
  2. The elements will melt with fervent heat.
  3. Both the earth and the works in it will burn.

So, it is critical for mankind to be holy and to be ready. As such, we cannot allow false teaching and greed to cause us to lose our way.  God is clear in Revelation 21: 8 where He says, “But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

Remember also that the Lord said in 2 Peter 3: 4 – 5 & 8 – 9 and 8–9, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.”  For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water . . . But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”

The Rapture Is Real

As a servant of God, there are many divine revelations God has given me. The supernatural is real. However, I do not create hype each time He releases it. On one occasion, the Lord opened my eyes, and as I looked up in the sky, He wrote “Revelation 11” in the sky in a cloud.

In Revelation 11, the second witness presents the consummation of God’s reign. During the pandemic, I was caught up, and I saw the number 11 written three times. The number 11 represented disorder, chaos, judgment. Furthermore, Genesis 11 speaks of Babylon, confusion at the Tower of Babel; in addition, Revelation 18 talks about the things that will take place before the rapture.

Revelation 20: 11 – 14, John saw 11 things in connection with the final judgement. The number 11 always comes before midnight and therefore symbolizes the final hour.

But this next revelation came from an occurrence this year when I saw Jesus coming down with the angels and the saints of old.  There was a cry in the earth as the rapture was taking place and people were expressing the fact that they did not take the warnings seriously and that it was too late.

According to 1 Thessalonians 4: 16, “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.”

Finally, do not forget 1 Corinthians 15: 51 – 52, “Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.”
