The Pastor’s Voice: Private Sector Leading Governments Astray

By Steve Lyston

Revelation 18: 4 – 6 reminds us, “And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.  For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. Render to her just as she rendered to you, and repay her double according to her works; in the cup which she has mixed, mix double for her.”

There are many problems globally, and they are created by the private sector, who use the government to implement their systems, and all they care about is making a profit.

Sadly, it is their advice that has caused the breakdown of and within the workforce, particularly during the COVID-19 lockdown. Again, their advice now is to implement AI systems and robots as part of societal norms, which will further degrade and deplete the workforce and bring about more breakdowns and health crises.

While there may be some brilliant people within the private sector, the government must realise that they are the ones the people voted for, and there must be a balance when implementing…the private sector just sees the numbers and the bottom line. A government cannot afford to be like that. Their choices must be made as a result of listening to the voice of God and seeking Him in their decision-making, which must be in the best interest of the people who put them in office. They must lead with mercy and compassion, something the private sector does not do.

GOVERNMENT BEING LED ASTRAY

Locally and globally, the private sector has been leading the government astray in the name of reform, and the government has been functioning as an arm of the private sector. It must be clearly understood and defined that the private and public sectors are distinctlly different and must function accordingly, or else a conflict of interest will arise and breed corruption. The private sector has significant skill sets within it that have the potential to make exceptional contributions to nation-building. However, their ultimate goal is profit-making.  So they are not deeply concerned about the moral and spiritual breakdown of a nation.

They don’t care about the poor within their gates, and the call to reduce national and international crime and violence levels is simply non-genuine talk.

PRIVATE SECTOR AND PURPOSE

In the past, the private sector was instrumental in nation-building, but today, with all the perks and benefits they are receiving in addition to their own profits, they turn a blind eye to the depravity and ills of their nation. Furthermore, they have thoroughly neglected the poor and the youth, failing to help them with opportunities to develop and grow. Instead, they use the profits to promote many anti-Christ initiatives, sinking society into uncleanness—all in the name of profit-making.

Many private sector organisations, locally and internationally, have been given billions to promote evil and destructive philosophies in their collaboration with governments. Let it be known, however, that God is about to put many long-standing companies out of business.

PRIVATE SECTOR, WHY?

There are some questions that need to be asked.

  • Does the private sector have a plan to privatise government so that when members of the private sector fail, they can simply transition over to the government and still maintain their private sector lifestyle?
  • Are they using the government so that they can pull the wool over their eyes and carry out their diabolical activities?
  • Are they blackmailing members of the government?
  • Do they plan to lead the government over the precipice with the goal of taking over?
  • Do the governments know that they have no friends but must instead be impartial in every circumstance?

CHRISTIANS, RETURN TO THE MARKETPLACE

Christians need to start their own businesses. It is critical for Christians to return to the marketplace, and they must support each other if they are to survive. We must have our day of worship and abide by Biblical principles in business. We must also use our profits to help the poor.

God is calling Christians out of the normal private sector structure. Many Christians are not praying as they should, and some are forced to adapt to sinful methods and practises in order to earn from their jobs.

During the pandemic lockdowns, governments were encouraged to implement mandatory actions and activities; however, they could not do so because of what was written in various national constitutions. As a result, their roundabout method today is to use the private sector to implement “mandatory” methods. This is what lies ahead for the nations.

There are benefits for Christians who start their own businesses. Being your own boss and controlling your own schedule are high on the list. They can also create their own environment and be in a position to implement their dreams and God-given vision. They will also be able to tithe, help the poor, establish righteous altars, bring blessings to their organisations and their nation, and lay a strong foundation for their organization to be established.

Christians must act quickly for the sake of their nation’s future!
