Jamaica has decided. Sixty-three winning candidates will take their seats in the Gordon House after swearing to serve God, the people and the Constitution. As the campaign dusts settle in the months ahead, we will get a clear view of their true nature and discover which god they really swore to serve.
For many of them, swearing is easy; the hard part is to choose the Lord, walk righteously, reject the lure of compromise and corruption, and do what they promise to do.
Know this: the battle for the soul of Jamaica has not ended. It has only entered a new phase. During the height of the election campaign, many candidates and their supporters bonded with secret societies, consulted with mediums and the occult, as they sought help from the dark realm to push them across the finish line. Many of those who won seats will attempt to carry their wickedness into Gordon House.
These demonic operatives have been given legal rights in communities and over the people. These deceived individuals think their pacts with Satan ended at the polling booth, but the demand for payback in blood will come at the most awkward time, in the most inconvenient place, and from inappropriate and available souls. Embracing the dark world has consequences.
Soon, Gordon House will be rumbling again as the newly elected Members congregate to pass laws, set budgets, and discuss the people’s business. The beast of partisan politics and international agendas that was given legal landing in the hallowed halls of Duke Street will emerge again from the dark crevices where it continues to reside.
It is true that when elected representatives of the people meet, there will be opposing ideologies, charges and counter charges, compromises, demands, and deals. Some laws will be shaped, amended, and discussed amid the clashes of teeth and tongues.
While the House gets about the business of building a better Jamaica, we pray that the men and women of God who have been elected will boldly stand as salt and light in government, firmly pushing against the wicked, reckless, and corrupt. They must fearlessly declare the Word and activate the power of the Blood of Christ in the aisles. There will be enough spiritually dead who will be fodder for the enemy. But the Members, who know their God, must be strong and do many mighty exploits. They must hold covenant breakers to account and push back against the merciless, whose mission it is to line their pockets and feather their nests, with no regard for the people.
There are important matters for the people of God to address. They must walk back the immoral Samoa Agreement, bring the corrupt to justice and demand recompense, build out our agricultural sector, so that we can become self-sufficient, and pass laws to concretise our children having devotions in schools. They must reject the push for a cashless society and urgently review and reconfigure the National Identification System to ensure that our people are not criminalised for their choices or unduly exposed. The approach to the Constitutional Reform must be redesigned for righteousness, secure the Savings Clause law to ensure that there is no possibility of the Buggery Law being repealed. Close attention must be paid to our health, education, and security sectors and a special unit to strengthen and incentivise family life must be constituted.
We pray that the sittings will not descend into chaos, and become a common place where the most ill-mannered, rambunctious, unscrupulous, and corrupt thrive. Our hope is that no room will be available for the unscrupulous to hide the truth from the people in highfalutin chatter and boisterous back-chats. We implore the members to leave the crassness, crudeness, and nastiness from past Parliaments behind.
Know that there is no cover for the wicked in the House. New government or not, God will move against Jamaica if we do not repent. God’s judgement against any nation can be in the physical, spiritual, or both, at any time, through any phenomenon, known or unknown to mortal man.
Scriptures are littered with stories about the ultimate demise of nations who chose the way of the wicked. Neither the king who led them nor the people who followed the unrighteous rule prospered. Jamaica is no different, regardless of what politicians promise; there is no prosperity outside of God. We are either for God or we are against God. Nothing or no one can stand against God and survive.
The longstanding claim that Jamaica is a Christian nation is only idle chatter, if righteousness is sidelined and demonic forces are given leeway. Regardless of the fact that generations of our people were raised in the Church, if Jamaica continues to turn its back on the Eternal Father and embrace wickedness, we will have hell to face.
If the righteous in the House are sidelined, it clears the way for reprobate rule with immorality as its prominent henchman. Jamaica is in serious trouble as things are, because the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness. When unrighteousness is promoted and practised among those who govern, the people mourn, and only judgement -aka the wrath of God- awaits.
The fact is that this nation has become the playground for Satan, and since he is on a mission to steal, kill and destroy, every semblance of decency is fractured, deception is celebrated, and donmanship is elevated.
We are a nation under judgement, and the tribulations will continue to intensify, if we do not repent and turn away from wickedness.
The prophets have warned that Jamaica will be hard hit until God gets its full attention.
The people of God who have been chosen are equipped to stand resolutely against the wiles of the enemy; they must not relent. Know that you have been elected for God’s purpose. Arise, shine, for the Light has come.
