Apostle Dr. Jeffrey Shuttleworth reminded believers on Sunday that Satan is aware of the value of the family and started attacking it immediately after creation, as recorded in Genesis chapter 3.
“And he, the serpent, said unto the woman, ‘Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?’ And the woman said unto the serpent, ‘We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.’ And the serpent said unto the woman, ‘Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.'”
Expounding on the strategy Satan uses to destroy family, Apostle Shuttleworth said he often seeks to convince humanity that he is smarter and wiser than God.
His mission, he said, is also to convince humanity that the Word of God is not true and that God should not be trusted.
“It is manifestly evident that since then [Genesis], Satan has not relented but has instead intensified the war on the family right through to the 21st century,” Apostle Shuttleworth pointed out.
The manifestation of this, according to the Apostle, is seen through the so-called sexual revolution, which began in the 1950s and peaked during the 1960s and 1970s, driven by the introduction of the oral contraceptive pill in 1960, the youth counterculture, and the radical feminist movement.
“It challenged traditional norms surrounding premarital sex, homosexuality, and so-called gender roles. What of the print, electronic, and digital media? These tools have been employed as vehicles to radically reorder and redefine societal mores and norms and ultimately to re-socialise and re-engineer societies,” he stated.
Abortion, according to the Apostle, is geared toward destroying the righteous seed and ultimately depopulating the globe. He continued that concubinage, or shacking up, is geared, among other things, toward diminishing the value of, outnumbering, and destroying the nuclear family.
“Then there’s the LGBTQI-ideology, prostitution, gender-affirming surgery, the DEI agenda—diversity, equity, and inclusion—surrogacy, in vitro fertilisation, and mRNA vaccine technology.
“Among the other strategies are gene-editing technology and, one of the worst of them all, transhumanism.”
These strategies, he said, are deployed by Satan and other devious emissaries in such a way that they have infiltrated all seven pillars of society and the world, thereby becoming pervasive, subversive, and destructive.
The end result, he pointed out, is a shrinking generation, resulting in collapsing workforces.
“It means heavy burdens on young people to support the old. It means governments scrambling to fill the gap with short-term fixes. It means ageing neighbourhoods. It means schools closing because there are no children available in the community. It means communities losing their industries and their continuity. It also means churches with empty pews,” he said.
