A Million Women Jamaica (AMWJ) is raising a collective voice to the Lord, joining those who cry out for justice on behalf of our girls, boys, women, and men in Jamaica.
A NEW PATH FORWARD
For too long, our nation has been torn apart by the vicious cycle of violence and aggression. It is time for a new path forward, guided by the Lord’s wisdom, perfect will, and love. Let us unite in faith, take a strategic stand for true peace, and work together to break this destructive pattern once and for all.
“He has told you, O mortal, what is good, and what the Lord requires of you: to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8 NIV
Victory belongs to Jesus, and the only strategy that will work is the one guided by Him. As followers of Christ, we have access to the power and realm that surpasses our own and the forces of darkness seeking to overtake our nation. God is light, and in Him, there is no darkness. We are the light of Jamaica!
As we walk in the light of God’s presence, we will find that: Light overcomes darkness; Life conquers death; Love breaks the curses over our nation.
Let us resolve to live boldly for God, abandoning every kind of compromise and embrace His Spirit and power. It is our duty to declare and demonstrate justice in our nation as we echo, “Thy Kingdom come, and thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” The impact of our declarations hinges on the depth of our conviction. If we believe that the Lord is God, then we must follow Him wholeheartedly.
GOD’S BLUEPRINT FOR HEALING
As representatives of the Kingdom of God in Jamaica, let us stand together in support of the vulnerable, while seeking and leveraging Divine strategies, blueprints and advantages entrusted to us. We’ll fight wisely and righteously in the realm of the spirit, as Jamaica faces a significant battle of altars.
God’s Word gives a clear roadmap in 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
This powerful promise outlines a clear, four-part blueprint for national healing: humility, prayer, seeking intimacy with God, and repentance from sin. Let’s heed this Divine roadmap and align ourselves with God’s will, that He may hear our cries and bring restoration to our land.
RESTORATION OF GOD’S HOLY LINES
We mourn with those who mourn the loss of their loved ones through gender-based violence, children-targeted violence, and other violent acts; and we weep with those who have been affected by them. We say, let the church that is built upon the foundation and revelation of Christ be vested, vocal, and visible in its authority and condemnation of these crimes.
We release a clarion call for the men and women of God to arise in this hour.
As we stand against violence and darkness, we also declare the restoration of God’s holy lines in our nation.
We pray for:
- God’s order to be established in individuals, families, communities, government, and institutions.
- The perfect will of God to be revealed and fulfilled in Jamaica.
- A way of escape for those trapped in cycles of violence, deception, and abuse.
- Righteousness to roll down like a river, bringing healing and restoration to our land.
THE ROLE OF WOMEN IN GOD’S PERFECT DESIGN
The Lord’s love for women and the spiritual symbolism of women are evident throughout Scripture. Men are called to love their wives as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25), reflecting the divine partnership between men and women. As co-heirs and co-labourers, women play a vital role in birthing, nurturing, and protecting righteous seeds and generations.
Moreover, women are empowered to proclaim and publish the good news, spreading God’s truth and excellence (Psalm 68:11 NIV). Together, men and women reflect God’s image (Genesis 1:27) and share in the blessing of fruitful partnership and dominion (Genesis 1:28). As the church awaits the return of its Bridegroom, Christ, attacks against women and girls represent attacks against the Bride of Christ and God’s divine system.
Let’s align ourselves with God’s design, recognising His sovereignty and unity in purpose. We are not at war with each other, but rather, we stand united against demonic forces that seek to divide and destroy. United, we will fulfill our roles as co-labourers in God’s Kingdom, bringing hope, love, and restoration to our nation.
