Commentary: This is not who we are!

Still in the shadows of the Independence celebrations, Jamaicans are rightly beating their chests over the stellar performances of the Reggae Girlz, the Sunshine Girls, and the Volleyball team. The World Championships in Budapest will add shiny black, green, and gold icing to the victories already won.

In the heat of the festivities, scant regard was placed last week on a bag of eight charred human skulls found by the police in a remote place in a distant parish. No amount of searching could identify the owner of the bag or from whence the grisly contents came.

Like a death omen, the horrific discovery signalled the persistent prevalence of a dark, deep underbelly of the nation that informs and even instructs much of the happenings in high and low places.

The gruesome find is not only symptomatic of the strong presence of spiritual wickedness, the works of witchcraft, and the rule of witches and warlocks in the land; it is a rude awakening that signals the level to which our nation has fallen.

If we were ignorant of where we were along the highway to hell, the Kevin Smith drama in 2021 in Montego Bay and this eight skull episode should be helpful coordinates. Let’s face it! God has been removed from the seat of honour, and things have descended into a debased kind of chaos. Anarchy is loose, reprobates have taken charge, and the value of life has been eclipsed.

While the bag of skulls may be ignored by the authorities and the masses, no one can play blind to the fact that in the last 10 years alone, some 15,000 Jamaicans have been murdered across the island, and the wanton killings continue unabated.

Our people have become acclimatized to the daily reports, so it hardly matters any more. Add to this the incidents of domestic violence and murder-suicides. Not even the police, tasked with solving these crimes, seem appalled by them.

There is nothing normal about this. When just under 3,000 persons were killed in the bombing of the Trade Centre up north on September 11, 2001, the United States and its allies headed to war.

Death, desperation, disorder, decay, and ultimately destruction are the certain rewards for a people when God is displaced as King of any nation. There is no blessing or prosperity without God. Good morals or works cannot replace God. Righteousness exalts a nation, and sin, with its deathly wages, is still a reproach to any people.

Little wonder that the lodge movement, in this cryptic environment, recently made a major move to ‘demystify’ and present itself as a positive force for good, as if the works of its brotherhood can replace the righteous power of the Sovereign God.

It is also along this highway to hell that Gordon House, where the Members of Parliament gathered to manage the people’s business and craft laws, broke into chaos. A recent sitting collapsed into disarray as barbs and insults were traded across the aisle for fun. This modus operandi has become the norm in the House of Representatives, even when visitors, including children, are invited, but last week things took an even uglier turn.

The eerie shadows also made an unprecedented landing in the high Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, where verbal fisticuffs brought this esteemed chamber to new lows.

Even if one missed the happenings in real time, the ripple effects of pervasive wickedness took social media by storm. It did not take much for the various online portals to be enveloped in the darkness as the evil within this dog-eat-dog domain was already rife.

But this is not a Jamaican thing. It is a global phenomenon where the Babylonian system, that is a deep dark spiritual operation, is working overtime to promote its Satanic agenda. It takes on greater intensity during high points of celebration, like particular public holidays, when the people are happy and focused on their festivities.

It is spiritual wickedness in high and diverse places. Murder, corruption, witchcraft, lodge and secret societies, LGBTQI agenda, interfaith worship, population control, climate change, and so many other modern-day movements are plugged into this massive demonic anti-God mission that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy.

Population control, in particular, is presented as a good response to environmental concerns and poverty reduction. However, it is firmly rooted in the move to flippantly dismiss God, His divine creation, His instructions to man to be fruitful and multiply, and His ultimate plans for humanity. Make no bones about it: crime and violence in poor countries are ready help for  the extreme advocates of population reduction. The murder of the ordinary poor people does not normally affect the wheels of industries and the efforts to gentrify communities. Investments in a number of cash-intensive enterprises remain robust despite growing murder rates. National security for some are primarily about the protection of their expatriates, partners on the ground, and their key operatives in government, the private sectors and communities.

Those who are shocked at the levels of crudeness and crassness among our Parliamentarians and others, and are stunned by the gruesome bag of human skulls and the emergence of secret societies, should also be flabbergasted at the rapid and reckless  advancement of digital technologies without regulations. The deranged population reduction advocates, along with the promoters and sidekicks of Babylon the Beast, are dedicated proponents of the same agenda.

It is important that the people of God demand that righteousness and Godliness are equally embraced.

Wickedness wrapped in a cloak of doing good is not us. We are not wolves in sheep’s clothing. We refuse to be streamlined by or plugged into the Beast Agenda under the pretence of keeping up with advancements. Where are the advocates for righteousness? We know how to fight this battle.
