Double blessing! Senior cop baptizes daughter and receives national award two weeks apart

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Warren Williams has proven that God is faithful. He is still celebrating the fact that he baptized his youngest child and received a National Honour in the same month.

The senior cop said he and his wife, Carol, have been praying for their daughter, Deborah, from before she was conceived. He was beyond ecstatic when he got the opportunity to baptise her on October 2, 2022.

“It was one of the greatest things that has ever happened to me in life. From she was in the womb, before she was conceived, we have been speaking and declaring things over her and this is one of the things we have declared, that she would grow up in the fear of the Lord and come to serve the Lord,” said DSP Williams of his daughter.

The father of four was raised by a Christian grandmother and got baptised at 12 years old. Although the cares of life distracted him, he was able to reconnect with God and today strives to live a life that is exemplary. That has translated into him aiming to be a good public servant daily.

DSP Williams is a digital forensic expert and heads the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) Communication Forensics and Cybercrime Division (CFCD). He is also a part-time lecturer on digital forensics and cybercrimes at the National Police College of Jamaica and Caribbean Martine University.

On October 17, the senior cop  was given a Medal of Honour for Meritorious Service for over 20 years of service to the JCF, during the National Honours and Awards Investiture Ceremony at King’s House, St. Andrew.

“It is a blessing and I give thanks to God for life and to see this day….God is the one who elevates and awards and so I count this [honour and recognition] as continued blessings from Him,” he told Freedom Come Rain Newspaper shortly after receiving the award.

DSP Williams is also a Marriage Officer and the founder of God’s Outreach and Deliverance Ministries (God’s-M) which consists of three ministries – God’s-M Online, Salvation and Deliverance, and Holy Ghost Power Ministry (HGP).

The veteran crime fighter partners with TBC Radio and Freedom Come Ministries International in the preaching of the Gospel. He utilises every opportunity presented to him to encourage his colleagues to make God a priority.

“In my job now, they accept me for who I am and for what I believe in because I consistently profess Jesus. I use the opportunity to encourage people that I manage, and wherever I go, people will acknowledge me as Pastor Williams, and I really feel good about that,” he said.

DSP Williams takes pleasure in the fact that his children, Janoye, Shaquille, Shante, and Deborah are proud of him.

“I am happy that my children are alive and I am alive so that they can see the legacy of what I would have done in my lifetime; something that they can emulate,” said the family man.
