Men And Music

In March 2023, Passion and Purity, in partnership with Freedom Come Ministries, hosted a Men’s Conference themed “Fathers and Sons: The Turning” as a part of God’s end-time move to restore the family to its God-given design, referenced in Malachi 4:5-6.
This article is aimed to further encourage men of all ages and stages to not only invite God into every aspect of their lives, but to truly allow Him to rule and reign in the affairs of men.
While doing a three-day fast on the first cruise ship I worked on, God spoke to me while I was in a deep sleep. He spoke in two parts. Firstly, I heard Him say, “The tangos and the land-alive know not anything.” I knew that what God had said was important and so I woke up and wrote it down. I also knew deep in my spirit that He had more to say to complete the Word He was speaking to me. Within a short time after falling asleep again, He repeated the first statement and continued, “…What is important is Divine Revelation.” Altogether, His comment was:
“The tangos and the land-alive know not anything. What is important is Divine Revelation!”
God was fully aware that I was teaching myself Spanish at that time. I discovered from looking it up that the word “tango” is indeed Spanish for ‘dances and songs.’ I also understood the expression, land-alive, to mean ‘Christians.’ Divine revelation of course is that which is revealed directly from God personally.
Songs and dances in the earth which come out of soulish inspiration and human reasoning have no true knowledge of God, nor do they communicate any true understanding of our holy God, and His ways. Sadly, the Divine judgement was that even many so-called Christian songs also have no true knowledge of God, nor do they communicate any true understanding of God, and His ways. There has been little change in this area over the years. In fact, a spirit of self-centeredness and worldliness has been the inspiration behind a vast majority of songs even produced by Christians. Years later, in another encounter, the LORD let me know that “Alvin Slaughter is my witness in the earth.”
For the knowledge of our Holy and Righteous God to increase and cover the earth, many more of the songs and dances must be birthed out of Divine Revelation of God. The present truth that is proceeding from Heaven now must set the boundaries of the songs and dances. God is now speaking to us by his Son, Jesus Christ (Hebrews 1:2). If the message of any song or dance contradicts the words and message of Jesus Christ recorded in the Bible, it must not be entertained. It must be rejected.
Divine revelation is now coming to those who have a pure heart to write new songs and music that honour God, reveal His nature and character, and produce the purposes for which He created music. Musicians, psalmists, and song writers need to therefore be aligned to holy and true Apostles and Prophets of Jesus Christ and be established in present truth so they can record new music, dances and songs that can cover the earth with the sound of heaven (Ephesians 3: 5).
Scripture in Focus:
God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; (Hebrew 1:1-2)
How that by revelation he (God) made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ), which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; (Ephesians 3: 3-5)
