Letter to the Editor: The importance of maintaining Christian values

Dear Editor,

Jehovah has no equal. Satan was an angel who rebelled against God and was booted from heaven, he is already defeated and remains cast down.

Furthermore, Satanic values are set up to kill, steal, deceive and destroy humanity on the earth. These values are anti everything that God represents. Where godliness is about pure and perfect love, family and a life based on the truth of His Word, Satan is about hate, discrimination, the destruction of families and human life, creating enmity between spouses, between parents and children and between siblings, promoting adultery, homosexuality, sexual perversion, pedophilia and abortion, legitimising deception and all sorts of corruption.

These values have become more prevalent across the world in recent years.

Many of them were on full display at the recently held carnival on the streets of St Andrew Jamaica, celebrated by the well-to-do in the nation.

Christian values are there to serve God Himself as we walk in holiness and  according to His precepts.

Matthew 25 (Message)

34-36 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Enter, you who are blessed by my Father! Take what’s coming to you in this kingdom. It’s been ready for you since the world’s foundation. And here’s why:

I was hungry and you fed me,
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink,
I was homeless and you gave me a room,
I was shivering and you gave me clothes,
I was sick and you stopped to visit,
I was in prison and you came to me.’

37-40 “Then those ‘sheep’ are going to say, ‘Master, what are you talking about? When did we ever see you hungry and feed you, thirsty and give you a drink? And when did we ever see you sick or in prison and come to you?’ Then the King will say, ‘I’m telling the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me—you did it to me.’

This is Christian service to God.

I am,

A Christian
