Founder of Hephzibah Earth Essentials, Diana Duncan-Martin is urging Christians to be passionate about their business operations, as that passion will be the source of longevity in business.
Speaking with Freedom Come Rain Newspaper, at this year’s staging of the Denbigh Agricultural, Industrial, and Food Show, she sought to highlight the importance of working in a field that one is called to and genuinely loves. She specified that in operating a business, one does not always receive the desired results, but the passion for the work that they do, and the desire to see positive effects in the life of others, should serve as a shield to discouragement.
“It needs to be your passion,” she stressed, “ Because there are so many times along the way when things aren’t going as we expect; sometimes we turn up to shows, and we rarely make anything to go back home, but it’s our passion. I like seeing people being healed, and I love hearing the stories of healing, and so when you’re living in your passion and when you love what you do; when the obstacles come, you will definitely find a way to go around them, to go over them, pray about them, whatever you need.”
Duncan-Martin was raised in a Christian home and has been a Christian since 2014. She birthed Hephzibah Earth Essentials after experiencing a series of health complications, which resulted in, among other things, hair loss. She said that after much time seeking the advice of God, she was led to natural solutions. Duncan-Martin was later introduced to the moringa plant and its numerous benefits, from which she received improvements in her health. Armed with a background in chemistry and pharmaceuticals, she launched the business in 2022.
She encourages business owners to be resourceful in production, despite financial limitations, by leveraging all available tools.
“ Just start with whatever little you have. If it’s a thousand dollars, for instance, we’re doing this natural business now; all the things that we create, they exist freely. So (in the case of) the Moringa, the Moringa trees are there, and all we have to do is invest the time to pick and reap the seed and to process them. So when you start with what you have, if you don’t have the machine, you can start boiling, just like the process you use to extract the castor oil,” she explained
“So I’m saying that sometimes we think it is too much to start, but if we really get resourceful…we can get resourceful with what we have and the rest will come along the way,” she asserted.
The business is family-operated and supplies cold-pressed moringa seed oil, moringa powder, complete seasoning blend, moringa body cream, natural deodorant, hair growth oil, and natural soaps.
