Pele dies at 82 from multiple organ failure 

Pele, the Brazilian soccer player considered the greatest of all time in the sports, died on Thursday in his native country after weeks in hospital due to ill-health.

The legendary football player was Born Edson Arantes do Nascimento in Brazil and led his native country to three World Cup championships in 1958, 1962, and 1970.

Pele has been battling colon cancer for some time and according to the Associated Press, he was he was also receiving “elevated care” for kidney and heart issues as his cancer advanced. He died from multiple organ failure as a result of the cancer.

Pelé speed, skills, and electrifying style resulted in him producing many draw-dropping moments for sports fans. He scored 1279 goals in 1363 games which earned him a spot in the Guinness World Record.

The soccer player trademark goal celebration….a leap with a right fist thrust high above his head was remembered by soccer fans long after he retired from the sport.

After soccer, Pele became a politician, a businessman, an actor, a composer and a global ambassador.
