Do you carry the spirit of Jezebel or do you carry the spirit of Order?
The Spirit of Order is the Spirit of God Himself, “The Holy Spirit”
“In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they slumber in their beds, he may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings, to turn them from wrongdoing and keep them from pride, to preserve them from the pit, their lives from perishing by the sword.” Job 33:15-18
One night I dreamt that I entered an ancient building that was like a mansion, and there were people gathered, doing their own thing. A tall man and a little girl entered the room. They appeared to be spirits and not real people like the rest of us in the dream. It also seemed that I was the only one in the building who was able to see them. The very tall man leaned towards the little girl and said to her, “Do not speak to anyone except to ask if they carry the Spirit of Jezebel.” I was also the only one who heard him say that to her.
The little girl started walking around, tapping people on their shoulders and asking, “Do you carry the Spirit of Jezebel?” While she was thusly occupied, I was singing, praising, and dancing till it was my turn to be asked. When the “little girl spirit” got to me, she questioned, “Do you carry the Spirit of Jezebel?” However, she did not stop there; she continued, “You seem to be carrying the Spirit of Order.” She said it as if affirming me or ensuring I knew what spirit I had been ascribed. I responded, “I do carry the Spirit of Order.” There were other elements of the dream, but that’s the summary.
Coming out of the dream, I was taken to Ecclesiastes 3, especially verses 1 and 17.
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1
“God will bring into judgment both the righteous and the wicked, for there will be a time for every activity, a time to judge every deed.” Ecclesiastes 3:17
THE SPIRIT OF JEZEBEL
The Holy Spirit disclosed to me that God is re-establishing order in His house. This is the spirit that He has given His saints. Yet in the vision, there was specific attention drawn to the spirit of Jezebel. Has the bride of Christ given herself over to the Spirit of Jezebel? Could it be that God is calling us to examine ourselves as the body of Christ? There is no doubt that He is going to judge us. Is He giving us a window of opportunity to do a self-assessment before His final judgement?
Jezebel is a spirit of chaos and conflict, a harassing spirit, a spirit of manipulation, control at any cost, a spirit that has no respect for God’s order. This spirit is no respecter of gender; therefore, we must not be deceived into thinking only females operate under the control of the Jezebel Spirit. Jezebel’s agenda is to get the saints to “tone down” and be quiet. It wars for the voice of the saints. It is a spirit that makes the saints passive, silent, and choosing to exclude themselves from necessary Kingdom confrontations. Jezebel will come into a church that is unstable in its calling and rage war on the vision of that church and its leadership until the vision and mission are completely wiped out.
Consider the West and the North; great chaos, terror, and darkness are upon us. The glory of God is drifting because holiness and Godly order are not being prioritized. But the good LORD is waiting in the wings, not wanting to completely remove His glory from among us. Nevertheless, He must separate the sheep from the goats. We cannot keep going through the motions of religion, He says, lest we not see the spirits that are moving among us.
We must pray and keep watch over the bride, know when to move, and not be blind to the ways God is leading us into order. Jezebel’s name cannot be made great among us.
HOW IS THE CHURCH ENTERTAINING THE SPIRIT OF JEZEBEL?
- By refusing to acknowledge that this spirit is a high-level leader in the devil’s army
- By denying the modern-day existence of Jezebel
- By feeling too safe
- By failing to teach and train saints on how to detect demonic strategies of warfare
GOD HAS MORE FOR HIS BRIDE…
He wants us to be ready. Ready to come to the next level of glory. Ready to forsake what the world is caught up in doing. Ready to say “no” to those who seek to redirect us as we march towards the gate of glory. Ready to be the watchers and gatekeepers of His Kingdom. Ready to keep marching towards His call despite the accusations and criticisms from the systems of this world.
We have a real war happening, and it is our duty to lead God’s people into safety. But we dare not rescue anyone if we cannot see our own danger.
The judgement of God is coming; we cannot escape it. However, we can escape eternal chaos and doom by reassessing where we stand with God.
