The Rose’s Juices: Reaping Godly Fruits From the True Vine

The Rose’s Juices, which produces and delivers natural juices and supplies coconut water, has been in operation for a year and a half, but has so far yielded much fruit, as a result of their determination to conduct business God’s way.

Owners Corwin Rose and Gregor Fong-Rose emphasized the significance of providing the best quality products for their customers, and their standard is often appreciated and aids in building customer confidence. Beyond maintaining the best standard, the couple apply Godly ethics in their business operations. One of their non-negotiable is that they do not provide services to secular parties, but to family and community oriented events.

“We don’t do dance. We do family events and church events, birthday party, sports day, [events by the]  Ministry of Health [and] Ministry of Education.  And we also did Genesis for the first year that we started out and then we returned this year,” Mr. Rose said before adding, “So we’re trying to target those family-oriented events to be at.”

The couple, who have been Christians for over 30 years, are encouraging business owners to employ what they describe as ‘christian ethics’ when conducting their operations. This strategy  has proven to be beneficial to both their business and their lives.

Speaking with Freedom Come Rain Newspaper, the couple shared other advice for current  and potential business owners. Among them, is the practice of legitimizing your business, setting a high standard for products or services and giving back to those who need it.

“Go the right way.  Register your business. Get the things that they require of you. That the government requires; legal and done,” Mr. Fong emphasized.

The couple also shared that prior to commencing operations, they took some legal actions.

“The first thing we did was to get registered,” Mrs. Fong-Rose shared “We went and registered ourselves. Our company’s name. That’s the first thing we did to ensure that we are legal to run the business. We also ensured we had our food handlers permit and we go and renew that.”

They also practice gleaning, conceptualized from the biblical story of Ruth and Boaz. In this story, Ruth was allowed to glean from Boaz’s field, despite not being employed to do so. The couple allows others to glean by giving a portion of their juices to those who are needy.

“There are persons who literally are having a hard time, and the Holy Spirit will speak to our hearts in a kind of sense that, hey, something’s going on. We always find a way on every trip we do, to do some kind of gleaning. Just give somebody because, that kind of thing,” Mrs. Fong-Rose explained.

Mr. and Mrs. Rose also placed emphasis on the spiritual impact of tithing out of one’s business. Tithing is the voluntary practice of giving back to God, 10% of one’s income or increase.

Mrs. Fong-Rose said that the positive impact of tithing also extends to one’s health.

“God will work it out for anybody who tithes faithfully and do what the law of the land said we must do. I find that it isn’t a coincidence that our health is intact. That, for me, is a big thing. The Lord, because with our kind of business, we can’t be sick and do our business, and we are healthy. The Lord just keeps our health intact. He has shown us what to do when we begin to feel a little sick. God is just amazing. So I think tithing goes far beyond just the direct financial and material blessing,” she said.
