“For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Isaiah 55:10-11
It is amazing how God can use the natural to bring out clarity in the spiritual.
We do understand that when it rains or snows that these do not return but accomplish what they came to do.
There is no way that we can read the Word of God and apply it to our daily lives and we remain the same. The Word of God will always accomplish that which God pleases, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto He sent it.
The good thing about the Word of God is that it is always in season; the good thing about God, is that He and His Word are one. God never sleeps, so nothing about our lives misses His attention for us to hear Him say: ‘oops! How could I not see that one coming?’ He watches over His Word to perform it.
“Then the Lord said to me, ‘You have seen well, for I am [actively] watching over My word to fulfill it.’” Jeremiah 1:12 AMP
God also knows the end from the beginning. Whatever God says, He will do.
“Declaring the end and the result from the beginning, And from ancient times the things which have not [yet] been done, Saying, ‘My purpose will be established, And I will do all that pleases Me and fulfills My purpose.’”Isaiah 46:10 AMP
Why can’t we just trust God wholeheartedly? Why can’t we just love Him for who He is and honour Him for the God who deserves all honour?
All that we need to do is to take time out to delve in the Word of God where we can see an outline of His heart and an outline of His love for mankind to the point where He laid down His own life as a ransom for us.
“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45 AMP
May God, the everlasting Father, open our eyes to understand just how much He desires for us to fall in love with Him and His Word as we get a greater understanding that all that He has written was written for our learning.
“For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope and overflow with confidence in His promises.” Romans 15:4 AMP
