Wrong phone call or Divine intervention?

Christian vendor made the love connection

In a moving Facebook testimony earlier this month, a member of the Worship and Faith International Fellowship shared how she found her husband following a phone call from a man in England.

She was not working and was doing some juggling, sitting at a stall downtown, and selling when she got the call.

She said she saw the ‘44’ number on the phone screen and didn’t even realise that it was a call originating out of England.

“When I answered the call, the person said ‘wrong number’ and I said no, this is not a wrong number, but I was praying to the Lord, and I was saying  ‘Lord, send somebody from far to come teck me and carry me away’ she shared during the ‘Testimony Thursday’ on April 4 at the church.

She said she asked the Lord to take her somewhere where no one knew her, and she didn’t know anyone. The gentleman who had made contact, then told her to call him back in 15 minutes.

“I did return the call, and that call became my husband,” she revealed to loud applause and members standing to their feet and cheering.

Expounding on her miracle, she gave more insight into her prayer. She said she told the Lord that when she met her soul connection, she would know, as she expected a certain “oomph!”

“When I pray, I pray specific, I tell God what I want. I don’t go around any corner, and he came and started to go along in 2015. So he decides that he wants to marry me, and he gave me all of his family phone numbers when he came. And I don’t know them ennuh. He said, ‘go and visit them; go and get to know them,” she continued.

She followed his instructions and visited the family members, and in 2019, he visited the island, and the two got married on August 27.

Following their nuptials, she went to the British High Commission seeking a visitor’s visa, but it was rejected twice. Testifying that her husband has been appealing this, from 2021, they both had hearings every month.

“We got a hearing, and at 3 a.m. I had to log on for the hearing. 3 a.m. out here is 9 o’clock over there, and every time I went for the hearing, they didn’t talk to me. They either talk to my husband or his cousin. Last November was the last hearing for the judge; she spoke with my husband’s cousin. My lawyer was there; she didn’t speak with her; she just asked her to introduce herself. After my husband’s cousin spoke, she said, No more, no more hearing; this hearing is over!” she informed to more shouts of praise.

She was then instructed via letter to take her passport to the British High Commission in Jamaica. Standing in the church, she informed that she was armed with the visa and was now set to fly on British Airways to be reunited with her husband.

Using the opportunity to reach out to others who may be going through storms of their own, she encouraged them not to leave the church, as she didn’t do that but stayed put. She shared that no matter what was going on around her, she was never going anywhere; she would not walk away from her blessings. She asked others to do the same.
