Pastor Ryan Mark looks for a ‘Home for the Heart’

Lead pastor of Pure in Heart Ministry, Ryan Mark Reynolds, and his team are looking to have a greater impact through the purchase of a campus dubbed ‘Home for the Heart’.

Ryan Mark, gospel producer of favourites  such as Already Done, I Love You, Lord, and Your Grace, has turned his attention to full-time ministry along with his wife, former dancehall artiste Dawnette Nevers, who performed under the moniker Crissy D.

The church, which operated from its Half Way Tree Road location for more than eight years, is now seeking a home after the building was sold.

Ryan Mark, sharing the initiative in a promotional fundraising video posted to his Instagram account, said that when it dawned on them that they had to leave that building, he had to pray to God and ask what was next.

“We had some savings, but if we were going to find somewhere new to rent, it would deplete our savings. Just setting up the stage, you know, lighting, all of this stuff, so I put some prayer on it, and when I prayed, I felt a nudge, like I think we could go online for a season so that we can raise funds to acquire our own property,” he shared.

Sharing the vision for Home for the Heart, Ryan Mark said it would be a big deal as they could do so much more regarding touching lives, feeding the poor, and making donations.

Minister Dania-Kai Kirkland, speaking in support of the venture, said it is a vision of not just having a sanctuary to worship, but they can also have a school, a place of refuge for those who may have been abused, complemented by a football field where saved and unsaved interact.

Sowing seeds of faith

Reverent Dwight Dunkley said the ministry is seeking US$1 million to power the dream into reality, and as a measure of their faith that God will answer their prayers, Pure in Heart Ministry will be giving away $1 million over the next 10 months.

“We are mostly online in this season, and that might be daunting; that might be overwhelming for some. But that doesn’t mean all hope is lost; we take solace in the fact that God has a plan for the ministry,” he notes.

Pastor of Transformation Church, Dwight Fletcher, in adding his voice to the appeal for the initiative to be supported, said it has his blessings.

“When they have a home, their impact will multiply, and it is all about impact. It is all about God’s kingdom. That money sown into Home for Hearts will go towards kingdom change. That money you are going to get back multiplies because you are impacting eternity,” he stated.
