The Seprod Group is excited to have been recognized for its performance in 2021 by winning two of the top awards at the Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association (JMEA) Manufacturers and Exporters Awards Ceremony held on October 8, 2022, in Kingston.
The group walked away with the Prime Minister’s Award for Large Champion Exporter Manufacturing and the Governor General Award for Manufacturer of the Year.
Chief Executive Officer of the Seprod Group, Mr. Richard Pandohie, said, “We are thrilled and honoured to have won these awards. I thought that we wouldn’t have been competitive after the very tough year that we had, I was not expecting to have such a stellar night. On top of the challenges that all our fellow manufacturers and exporters faced, we had the tragedy of a massive fire. We are a major work-in-progress, with still a lot of work to do to get to our destination of being a best-in-class company, but it is nice to pause for a moment and enjoy the wins, these awards will serve as a huge motivation to our team”.
The CEO continued, “I want to salute our team members who have worked tirelessly to deliver every day. I also want to thank our consumers and customers for supporting and partnering with us, as we bring the best to you. I also want to recognize the other manufacturers and exporters, collectively we have done an amazing job to ensure that the productive pillar stood firm during the pandemic and global supply chain crisis. We may have been competitors for the awards but more importantly, we have all collaborated to protect the Jamaican consumers from the supply crisis that we saw in far more developed countries. We also, through our exports played our part in ensuring brand Jamaica was large abroad.”
